"I must say one of my problems with some hotels is noise but this was not one of them, very quiet…my real problem was the design of the hotel, first off there are steps going up to the first floor therefore coming in for a six night stay was a bit of an issue having two suitcases,a cooler, other bags for toiletries and such.there were carts for luggage to get things from your vehicle into the lobby but from there everything needed to be carried up the steps.which really did not make me very”happy” …..but once in our room it seemed clean and the bed was very comfortable. No issues after check in… Location was good and parking was plentiful"

"You can’t go wrong renting this cottage. It is very quaint, with a kitchen that has just about everything you need to cook with—and then some. (Except for a cookie sheet, which we needed to make pretend pizzas... lol. My wife improvised with layers of aluminum foil.) The air conditioning kept the place very comfortable, the thick, lush towels looked new, and the sofas and beds were very comfortable and supplied with ample pillows. It wasn’t hard to get settled in and start enjoying our relaxation time.Not to mention my favorite part: sitting on the deck, which was only 10 feet from the water. Whether sitting outside or inside on the couch facing the water through the screened sliding doors, the rhythmic sound of the waves splashing against the shore rocks provided immediate stress relief and relaxation.The host, Samantha, answered any questions I had quickly. It was just my wife and me who stayed here, and we were very satisfied. We only wish we had booked a few more days!"

"Stayed for a week with my wife, adult sons and their wives/gf’s and dogs. House is beautiful and great access to the water. Very relaxing to sit by the campfire at night. Host was very accommodating and easy to contact. Listing is as described. The water is the only real negative, pretty significant sulfer smell. You can’t drink the water and it was tough to even shower. That said Helena is up front about this and left us plenty of water to drink and do the dishes. No issues with neighbors or kids running in the yard as others described in thier reviews, it was very peaceful setting, in fact on 2 mornings we had deer in the yard. The road is very quiet to walk your pets. The deck is huge and a great place to have your meals. Didn’t feel not having AC impacted our stay at all as there were plenty of fans and the breeze cooled the house down at night, I defintely would stay again!"

"Wonderful spot to relax, play, and crash after exploring the upper lake and 1000 islands region. The kids loved playing in the water in the morning and at the end of the day. if they were a bit older the kayaks would have been great. The lake was mostly too choppy for us to take out our own paddle boards with the kids on board. But there was more than enough to see and do in the area besides. Lots of local farms to get fresh produce and some baked goods too. We were disappointed that there weren’t any fresh fish markets in the area (we don’t fish ourselves), but the area seems to be managing there fish stocks well for those who do fish."
