"We stayed at the house for a week with a group of 9 friends. The house itself was great! We were kindly welcomed by Jean Pierre who gave us some great tips on what to do in the area. The ruins of Donzy are nice to visit, and the hilly region is beautiful to walk through. Otherwise there is little to do for tourists in Panissières itself, it's just a regular French village. Luckily there are large cities (Lyon and Saint-Etienne) within a one hour drive. The same goes for the Beaujolais wine...

"Les maisons sont au calme en haut d'une colline, la vue sur la vallée depuis la piscine est magnifique, il y a des jeux pour les enfants et un très grand terrain pour le bonheur de toute la famille ! L'accueil et la communication avec les propriétaires étaient parfait."

"We had a fantastic stay here in the house and used the pool a lot! A great halfway point between Calais and Nice if driving down. The house was well equipped and very comfortable. When we stayed the temperature was over 30 degs outside but it did not feel too warm inside which was helpful. The property has a huge garden with swings and a play house which was fun for the kids to use. "Nous avons passés une semaine au chalet de la roche absolument fantastique. Brice est au service de ces hôtes il nous a même fourni le sapin pour notre semaine de Noël au chalet. Nous avons beaucoup de neige et n'a pas hésité à deneiger plusieurs fois le parking "

"5 belles chambres sur 2 niveaux en étage. 4 salles de douche Le gite est silencieux, confortable, bien situé pour rayonner en vélo et en rando mais également pour effectuer des visites. Notre propriétaire cultive des fraises et produit des oeufs. Nous avons bcp apprécié le terrain de boules, les transats. La cuisine est bien équipée. visistes."

"This is the best place we have stayed on the 15 days of Europe travel. After choosing to stay in city centers we decided to stay in the country. This place is dead quiet, bed very comfortable, breakfast enjoyable, staff awesome, very clean and modern. It's a small place but everything was perfect and ease of use. We will be back to this little gem again soon. We would have stayed longer to explore the area with our bikes but we had to catch a flight home from Paris. Excellent bakery near by."

"Its a really neat/cool place to stay for a night. The chateau is a little run down (as expected as its construction started in 1231), but that adds to its charm. The hotel room was beautiful and clean. The only issue was pink/orange mould on the bottom of the shower curtain. We also had the best meal on our Southern France trip at a nearby restaurant (Authentique restaurant)."
