“It was our first time at the Grand Hotel. We stayed at the hotel on our way to catch the ferry from Caen to the UK. The location is very peaceful next to the Solesmes Abbey. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the restaurant was of a high quality. Our superior room had a balcony and air con and was spacious. Our little border terrier, Lola, was made very welcome and we found a lovely walk next to the river behind the Abbey. We will definitely come back. ”

“Pour un prix compétitif la chambre est correcte avec une bonne literie. La cabine de douche est un peu vétuste mais joue son rôle. La personne à l'accueil est très sympathique ”

“It was a historic setting in beautiful countryside though the old Chateau was very old and we were put in a musty room with no air circulation. The host was very inhospitable constantly arguing he didn't hear about Vrbo and demanded we pay him in cash even when I showed him Vrbo had withdrawn the money from my credit card account. We left after the first night with him chasing after us trying to force us to go to Daon instead of Chateau Gontier where we were to attend a wedding. ”

“Nous avons reçu le code d'accès très tard, vers 19h, sans message de prévenance au préalable. Logement adapté pour 4. Il y a 2 places supplémentaires, d'un confort relatif, dans le canapé lit de 140. Quant à la 7ème place, nous ne l'avons pas trouvée. L'internet était HS et nous n'avons pas eu de linge de maison ni de serviettes pour 7.”
