Think we were the only guests that night. Very well furnished and appointed ground floor room in main building overlooking the golf course. Room was a bit damp on arrival and the pool area was unuseable with green water which was very disappointing considering it was one reason we selected it. Overpriced for what we got.

Wish we could have stayed longer!

This property is a great place to stay for a few nights. Extremely comfortable with a delicious breakfast, it is located right on a quiet golf course. The rooms are spacious and have very large bathrooms and small patios. They even have an honesty bar and pool setup. Location-wise, it is a 5 minute drive to a selection of shops and restaurants. The lighthouse and beach are about 10 minutes away. St Francis Bay was beautiful and we wish we could have stayed longer.

Great experience staff are attentive and very pleasant. On the old golf course. Good sized and very clean swimming pool.

St francis bay

Nice stay, accomodation cute nice thatched property on the edge of the golf course. St francis bay is quaint, with canal trips and a few restaurants. Not loads to do but worth a stop.

Området er et decideret ferieområde med mange fritidshuse. Ikke specielt meget at lave. Dog gode travetur langs Det Indiske Ocean

Tres agreable et chaleureux. Un peu bruyant car pres de la route. Peu de rangement. Arrangements pour golfs.

Sensibles du nez s'abstenir.

Avis mitigé : Je dois dire avant toute chose que le patron a été très sympathique et l'hôtel avait le mérite d'être ouvert en cette période très creuse de l'année. Le plus gros problème : l'odeur ! Je pense que cela vient des toits en chaume. Odeurs très fortes. Pour le reste, la déco est superbe, les chambres propres et confortables, ...

Oasis in St Francis!

This was a lovely lodge with brilliant breakfasts and great hospitality! St Francis Bay is a wonderful place and we thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Thank you, we will return.

Thatchwood Country lodge

This was an overnight stop on our road trip around South Africa. Thatchwood was a very comfortable place to stay, with the character accommodation a real bonus. The owners and staff were very welcoming and the breakfast was excellent. St. Francis Bay was a lovely spot and our only regret is that we could only stay for one night. We would thoroughly recommend Thatchwood Country Lodge to any travellers visiting the St. Francis Bay area.

Lage ziwischen zwei Golfplätzen

Zimmer hübsch eingerichtet und sauber, aber zwischen Reetdach und Sisalboden sehr muffelig, bei über 30 Grad ohne Ventilator oder Air Kondition. Tagsüber lauter Strassenlärm, nachts jedoch ruhig. Freundlicher Empfang und Personal, aber wir hatten den Eindruck als hätte diese Unterkunft ihre besten Zeiten hinter sich. Für eine Nacht auf der Durchreise ok.
