“Design assez vieillot. Les photos sont faites d'une façon qui ne reflète absolument pas la réalité : notre chambre ne ressemblait pas du tout aux photos. La literie est par contre très confortable avec des couettes bien chaudes. Personnel très agréable, polis et courtois. Petit déjeuner ne valant pas du tout le prix demandé. (peu de choix et qualité faible)”

“Literie dure idem pour l'oreiller nous avons très mal dormi, impossible de prendre un bain (pas de bouchon), petit déjeuner mediocre (petits pains et viennoiseries surgelés, jus d'orange premier prix...), restaurant fermé le week-end ??? On ne reviendra pas. C'est dommage car l'établissement a du charme et la décoration plutôt soignée. La personne (unique) a l'hôtel peu sociable aussi..”

“After initial booking, don't expect much more help from the booking agency. And if French is not your spoken language, hire or ask a french speaking friend to help with booking the vendors. The recommended caterers are ok. Book the times 30 minutes earlier to ensure it's on time. And make sure ALL details are in writing and explored, or you may be disappointed.”

“What a lovely gite this is. A hidden gem in rural Charente, and we absolutely loved our stay here at Chocolate Box Cottage. It is a beautiful spot. And if you want a quiet location, this is it. A real get away from it gite. It is wonderful, and we didn’t want to leave.
