“This is our second visit to Epernay staying in the same location. We find this apartment suitable for a short stay but be advised. You may have to park a kilometer from the apartment on very tight narrow streets. This location is 25 meters from what is considered the city center. The city centre area is nice and flat with food, drink, and shopping within 200 meters The other direction where you’ll need to park is quite steep. We find that everything in the kitchen, laundry, and bathroom……

“I would highly recommend this apartment. It is in a great location, just a few blocks from the Avenue de Champagne. Lots of great restaurants and shops close by. The unit is clean and stocked with everything needed including cooking and clothes washing. It is across the street from a market which is held a couple of times a week. We were able to buy fresh meat/produce at the market and have a home cooked meal (which is great when traveling and eating out every day). The unit is a nice size and……

“Paula was a top rank host. Quick to respond, thoughtful, and helpful. The kitchen is smallish but pretty well equipped. Reims is a great side trip, of course, but so is chalone-en-champagne. We had many excellent meals. Best was probably Why Not, much more elegant than the name suggests. Was not wowed by Grillade Gourmand.If you are serious about champagne, I recommend you arrange visits with some small growers. The large house tours are fun but not as interesting.”
