"A well laid out property with comfortable beds and an excellent lounge area. Being on the Settle to Carlisle line didn’t impact on the experience and the building being the old station made for a fantastic experience. Provision is made to immediately enjoy a well furnished accommodation, with more than adequate parking beside the property. Well fitted out for a pet friendly experience and a short distance into the village. In a great location with so much to do and see in the area. I did the Roman forts along Hadrians wall, long Meg, shopping in Penrith less than 10 minutes away and Lowther castle all accessible within 45 minutes. Definitely would recommend this property and would go back Response time from the Owner was brilliant and any minor issues were addressed immediately. Personally I Loved the experience and would do it again"

"Customer service in the restaurant was amazing lots of different selections off food to choose from. Spa was lovely shame robes weren’t available In the room though. £1 coin needed for the lockers which I hadn’t realised. The rooms are very clean the bed was so comfy great nights sleep "

"Excellent little cottage to base our Lake District holiday from. Very friendly owners, cottage has everything you need in it for 2 people. Lots of local walks. Sunday dinner in the Heather Glen hotel, which is walking distance, was very good. Local pub, the Fox & Pheasant, is 1.2 miles away in Armathwaite, nice food and friendly staff, however I do not recommend walking there on the road, which has no footpath, as the local tractors move very fast and consider the entire road their domain! Easy access to the Settle-Carlisle railway via Armathwaite station. There is free parking in the station and many places in the village to park if it happened to be full."

"I recently stayed at this lovely cottage located in the village Melmerby with my puppy. The cottage was very well-equipped and comfortable - I really liked everything about it. The only downside was that the lights in the living room were a bit too bright; a dimmer switch or some additional lamps would make it cosier for the evenings. We enjoyed day trips out, and in the village, we had a lovely meal at the pub, though it’s closed from Monday through Wednesday, which might impact other visitors. Note that the front garden is open, so our dog had to stay on a lead. Overall, a great stay!"

"A simply fantastic cottage. Kitted out with everything you need, comfortable and welcoming - we have found our ideal base for visiting family so will be back. The pub nearby does lovely food and our springer loved the walks from the door step."

"Nicely appointed cottage that had everything you could need.Plenty of internal space, outside rooftop patio and hidden garden area.No wifi signal, and poor mobile phone signal added to the seclusion - away from the real world. Very rural, transport necessary to get anywhere."
