"We chose this villa for the location and views. 5 days before our travel we had message to say villa was no longer available due to renovation work not complete. To be fair we were offered another villa for the same price nearby on St Christophe estate which was larger and would have cost more. However, we were disappointed as although the villa was very nice it felt claustrophobic having no where to sit outdoors and surrounded by tall plants and in the middle of the estate. The description of the house online was completely different than the house we rented, and the kitchen had zero amenities. Imagine finding out 3 weeks prior to our trip that this was a shared property and the first night rental was double booked. I am still waiting for a credit for that one night. "Great location and spectacular views. Nice yard. The house is spacious and must have been fantastic when it was new. Regretfully, it needs some improvements. Water leaked into dining room when it rained, dishwasher and oven didn’t work, kitchenware old and worn, several cracks in masonry, furniture old, master bedroom AC inadequate (we had to sleep in another bedroom). There’s more, but you get the idea. Also, you have to use about 2 km of rough dirt road to get to it, and when it rains hard...
