Lovely quirky hotel with great character and charm

The breakfast at the hotel is excellent, there is a great variety and good quality produce. The staff are always happy to help and friendly. The room I stayed in was bright and clean. The room did lack some facilities such as cost hangers there was only 3 in total, no tea or coffee facilities in the room meaning you had to go down stairs and pay 50DKK for a hot drink or if you woke up early in the morning have to wait until breakfast to be able to get a drink. As mentioned in previous reviews the water pressure was little low in the shower. One to note the church near by the bells ring every hour even in the early hours of the morning so if your a light sleeper this may not be idea for you

Travelled for work, and needed to do some work in the evening (prep for next day), but difficult as loud music (music quiz?) downstairs approx 7-8.30pm. And the noise continued with a very loud speaking lady (guest) in the breakfast area at 07am morning after. So, overall, nice but very noisy!

Upon arrival, the toilet was dirty with feces. If you have difficulty walking, the stairs, which are quite numerous, can be a challenge. The room door sticks very hard, making it very noisy to close. The shower head wouldn't stay in place, so you have to hold it by hand. No TV streaming. Staff shortages are noticeable in the way questions are answered, which unintentionally comes across as unfriendly. I haven't seen anyone offer the option of cooking your own egg for breakfast; it's not practical.

Just so you know

Charming location, easily found from motorway. Historic building, could hear next door guest talking, luckily they didn't do that much, let alone snore. No TV in room so couldn't cast from phone. But maybe a good thing or we would have heard other room's TV too. No coffee /tea making facilities in room. Good and clean shower but bathroom floor flooded tot very wet from ineffective door seal. Upmarket restaurant on ground floor with 4 main dishes to choose from that looked/smelled v good. Given Danish prices, we went to burger/pizza place right across the hotel and facibg our room, as did many hotel guests .This luckily shut at 9pm . We had to catch an early ferry so took breakfast 15 min before start time. There were excellent choices, a wide variety, similar to Germany but with salmon too, as in Sweden. The food was laid out in rather small room and when the rest of the guest arrived en masse at 8 am, it was just too crowded. Especially with just one bean-to-cup coffee machine. Another bottle neck we avoided. Why not just have an urn?

Super søde personale, smagfuldt indretning. Man føler sig ført tilbage i tiden uden at gå på kompromis med moderne behov for faciliteter. Rigtig god dansk morgenmad med alt hvad der hører sig til. Dejlig afslappet atmosfære hvor man føler sig hjemme og velkommen. Stor tak til hotelchefen, for gode turistattraktionstips :)

Overordnet fint ophold. Men en del mindre servicesvips fra det venlige, men urutinerede personale (ej plads her til beskrivelse). Rimeligt prisniveau. Smukt, underspillet, enkelt design v. renovering af gl. hotel. God seng. OK rengøring på de store flader, men skimmel i bruserum, gul bakterierand v. vaskens udløb + mega støvet på enkeltelementer. God middag og uovertruffen morgenbord. Største anke: Det er Ikke OK at ankomme til tjek ind kl. 17:30 uden at kunne få bordmulighed i restaurant! RÅD: Skriv i bekræftelsesmail, hvori restaurantens åbningstider i forvejen er oplyst, at bordbestilling på forhånd bør ske/ tilrådes.
