TLDR: very poor value + the hotel is becoming run down. Our main complaints: very poor wifi, paper thin walls, pooling water in the bathrooms, hot water not working, bugs in food (details below). Our guess is this place got Instagram famous and stopped caring. We stayed at other hotels in Salento that have equally stunning views and are a much better value. We stayed here in early June 2025 for four nights (2 in a basic room and 2 in the junior suite with Jacuzzi). I'll start with our biggest issue, which was the hot water not working. We did a two day trek and booked a room with a Jacuzzi on the day we got back. We were looking forward to showering (for obvious reasons) and relaxing our in the Jacuzzi after a couple of nights in the mountains. No hot water for the first day. The friendly staff tried to fix it but couldn't. The next day it was fixed, and we asked the hotel if they could do anything to accommodate us. They kept making us talk to other hotel staff and giving us the run around. Finally, they said that of course they would do something, and late on our last day they said that the water was fixed, so there was no problem (essentially, there was no longer a problem, so they had done something). We explicitly asked for a partial refund or discount, and they said the manager would talk to us in the morning of check out, which he never did. We asked a fourth time and were told that they would not do anything, and it was their policy not to give any partial refund

Pour la vue

Si vous avez flashé pour l'hôtel pour la vue, allez-y sans hésiter. Petit-déjeuner avec vue splendide sur la vallée de Cocora. Mis à part ça (et c'est déjà bien suffisant), hôtel moyen, déco et chambres vieillottes, la nôtre donnait directement sur le parking sans aucune ventilation, gros problème d'humidité à revoir.

Perhaps the nicest or one of the nicest properties in Salento. We splurged a bit by Colombian standards and booked the “Balcony of Cocora” room. Perfect choice for us. We didn’t realize this when booking but it’s on the top floor which gives the best view. Recommend higher up for best views. The property is centrally located within easy walking distance to whatever you may want/need. Breakfast was good and a great way to start our day. Many hot choices and large portions. The rooms do not have heat which we discovered has been typical of everywhere we’ve stayed in Colombia. They provide blankets so sleeping is fine but mornings can be chilly especially after you shower. Pack accordingly for nts walking to dinner, early mornings etc. They pre arranged all our shuttles for us: Pereira airport to Santa Rosa Carbal Hot Springs Hot Springs to Mirador Cocora Miradora to Pereira airport Was sooo nice to have all this arranged before we departed for our trip. Their communication during the planning of the entire trip and while we were traveling was superb! All shuttles were early! It was a flawless experience and big piece of mind! The favorite place we stayed dur our 12 day Colombia. Adventure!

Top level room with unbeatable views and a jacuzzi on the balcony was near perfect. Only the AC and the safe did not work, but I did not need them so did not bother to ask. Cooked to order breakfast was pretty good.

Beautiful views from common areas and the rooms with balconies and hot tubs. Comfortable beds and Acapulco chairs. Delicious breakfast. Wonderful and attentive staff. Bring hiking poles for steep hills to/from town, or download Didi app for calling cabs. Close to great restaurants. Highly recommended.
