Epic view

We loved the location, near town, but far enough out to be quiet. And the expansive views are just perfect. Couldn't get enough of them.

Room for improvement

Suggestions for improvement : 1. Thermostat broken and in pieces when we arrived. 2. Improve clarity on lack of air conditioning on website other than simply not listing under amenities. Detailed internet problems, why not include no air conditioning in description. 3. Strong odor found in kitchen emanating from sink. Covered drain in order to reduce odor. 4. Vegetation along driveway needs to be trimmed so as not to scratch vehicles. 5. Cable Hopper dropped out of service several times during stay. House was very warm in the afternoons in the August heat. Otherwise clean and comfortable.

wonderful hide away

The house is very comfortable and conveniently located to town, and it also far enough away that we had plenty of privacy and quiet nights. The hosts were very responsive to questions we had during our stay. We were surprised on arrival to read that it does not have A/C. The note above the thermostat says “as indicated in the listing", but the listing says that it DOES have air conditioning. The house did stay quite cool with opening the windows as suggested, it was just an unexpected surprise, and I’d recommend making it more clear in the listing.

Great for a couple or small family

As promised in the on line pictures. Kitchen well stocked with pots, utensils etc., basic pantry needs. Off the main roads so was quiet. Pretty view of the mountains. House layout was beautiful and open.

Modern Style Home - Salida Get Away

What an amazing property!! We were there for a week, and wished we could have been there longer. If there wasn't so much more of this country that we want to see, we would definitely go back!!

Modern and Cute!

We loved this house! Perfect for a little getaway for my husband and me. The view from the patio with the fire pit was just as expected. We really enjoyed our stay!

Winter Wonderland

This house was so cozy and easy to love! We had everything we needed, and would love to stay here again. Salida itself is a great place to visit, and it’s proximity to ski areas and other recreation make it an ideal vacation spot. Jess was very responsive, and if we had actually needed anything, I’m sure it would have been taken care of in no time! We will definitely try to stay here again!

Perfect Perch in Salida

Had a wonderful stay where we were close to all that we headed to Colorado to do - hike, fish, and ski! The location gave us a beautiful scenic view of snow-capped mountains and was close enough to Salida to conveniently access any services we needed. The house accommodated 4 people very well except for the sofa bed where our teen boys slept was hard and uncomfortable. It didn't keep them from sleeping after full days of mountain air and activity, though. There is a cupboard with some games that came in handy, too! Thanks. Other than the bed, we loved this place. Thanks so much!

Modern on the mountains

This was a great place to stay. It was nice to stay in a more modern house while in the mountains. The whole place felt new and clean and had amazing views of the Collegiate Peaks. I would definitely stay here again.
