Discover a unique private 30-acre sanctuary at Rumbling Ridge! Located next to North Carolina's Green River Gorge conservation area, this unique vacation rental property gives yourself or your group a chance to be completely surrounded by the nature of the mountains, yet still close enough to Asheville attractions. Featuring a sunken hot tub, the wrap-around deck at Rumbling Ridge encourages seamless indoor/outdoor living with folding sliding doors, grilling, and lounge areas, along with a screened-in section for relaxation in every season. The sound of the rushing river travels up from the gorge below while enjoying outdoor activities. Expansive windows merge nature with indoor comfort. After sunset, enjoy the ambiance created with the living room Constellation Projector. Rumbling Ridge is modern in its design, with open living space on the main level and three bedrooms on the upper level, each with its own TV and contemporary ceiling fans. For family time, build a crackling wood fire in the raised fire pit and toast marshmallows, or warm up the wood stove for a cozy movie night. Cooking is a breeze thanks to the well-equipped gourmet kitchen, and there is plenty of seating for meals with a large dining table and an island breakfast bar. Taking it easy, explore the half-mile-long driveway which is perfect for a walk or bike ride or, create an adventure by following the challenging trails that are highlighted on the property map that is included in your reservation. Rumbling Ridge borders the Green River Game Lands, a 12,000-acre tract of land preserved through a conservancy easement, and the North Carolina Wildlife Commission. On-site outings include a short hike to the Cliffs for a mountain view and the challenging Hemlock Ridge Trail that extends 0.4 miles down to the Green River. From there, link up with trails that lead you to hidden waterfalls, swimming holes, and Class V rapids in the river narrows. After a day spent exploring the Blue Ridge Mountains and the nearby city of Asheville, unwind in the hot tub with the stars bright in the night sky. Find the peace and quiet you have been craving at Rumbling Ridge!
