"The room we stayed in wasn’t clean and the conditions weren’t great. The hotel staff also overcharged us for a few excursions. I’d recommend staying somewhere else if possible."

"We stayed just one night here but wish it was longer. Beautifully decorated room, with a wonderfully comfortable bed looking directly out onto the river Nile. We enjoyed sitting out and enjoying the view across the river and watched the sun rise the following morning. The staff could not have been more helpful and did everything they could to help us. The food was wonderful - we had tagine and it was up there with the best we’ve eaten. We really could not fault Dolty Kato Nubian House and would highly recommend it."

Staff couldn’t have been more polite or helpful and the taxis ordered for us were well-priced and considerate. Food was good, and alcoholic drinks plentiful. We had such a good few days here. "Felt very private and the property has fantastic views of Aswan from up top. That said, it also means it's a bit less convenient to get into town especially by foot. The property is also connected to the main Basma hotel slightly down hill which is bigger and busier, so that's both a private and a potential issue for some. But because the Exec Club is more private, service was more attentive and privacy away from heavy traffic was better."

"We had a wonderful stay at Kato Waidi Nubian House. The staff were incredibly polite, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. They arranged all our transportation smoothly and made our stay completely stress-free. The traditional grilled dinner was excellent and felt very authentic. We highly recommend staying a couple of days to experience and explore the more traditional side of Nubian life."
