Beauty and the beach salvo

The house was wonderful. Communication with surf or sound was easy. They were very accommodating when it came to our dogs. I was pleasantly surprised with the close proximity to beach access as it wasn’t really emphasized in the listing. Very short stroll to the beach. Would definitely recommend.

Trip cancelled due to Hurricane Isaias

Unfortunately we were not able to travel to the rental property as planned. The hurricane caused an evacuation from Hatteras Island prior to our arrival. Once it re-opened, we were dealing with the storm and its aftermath in our home state and couldn't travel. We were extremely disappointed (especially since we could not be re-imbursed), as we were really looking forward to this trip and especially staying at this lovely property.

We had a great week at Beauty and the Beach! The house was huge and we loved how each room had its own private bathroom! The large pool was a huge hit for our family; but the beach was also only a 5 min walk away, so we enjoyed that as well. There were two beach accesses within close proximity to the home, the one had a boardwalk that made it easier. That one was accessed from the street behind the home. The grocery lift made it easy getting groceries up to the third level. A/C was freezing us out of the house, it worked so well! There were a few inconveniences considering the price we paid; like tv not working in bedroom, old bikes with flat tires, broken boogie boards, no strainer drain in kitchen sink or garage disposal so we were picking food out of drain, yuck! No toilet paper (we were scrambling after a long day of travel-later we did find a bag with two rolls but there’s 7 bathrooms. Be nice to have at least a roll in each bathroom-then we could have bought our own once those rolls were used), no kitchen dish towels or rags. So we went through so many paper towels (that we had to buy). Nightstands were not wiped clean. Bath rugs could use a washing. I would recommend this rental if it was offered at a lower price. The price paid was too high to have such inconveniences.

Beautiful beach home

This property was so much more than we expected! Closer to the beach than we thought, not even a 10 minute walk. The pool and hot tub were amazing and we enjoyed sitting on the decks through out the day and night. The rooms were so clean and comfortable and I find myself missing the bed I had there lol! The house is not in a super touristy area which was a plus for us but had the convenience of stores and tourist attractions nearby. While we were there we went to the Graveyard of the Atlantic Musuem, the Roanoke Island Festival Park, and parasailing in Hatteras. I don't believe we had to drive more than 30 minutes from the house to these destinations. Quiet neighborhood. Overall we enjoyed our time and the home and can't wait to come back!

Perfection

Our stay at Pearl couldn't have been better. The house has ample room, spacious bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. The living area is open and spacious making it easy to spend time with family. This is a pet friendly house, so there were signs of that, if you have an allergy its probably best to avoid. Overall, I would highly recommend.
