Everything was thoughtfully prepared, and I really appreciated all the little touches that made it feel welcoming (especially arriving to ice in the freezer). "We chose to spend a night here for our honeymoon. The hotel provides a very convenient—and free—shuttle service, which is incredibly thoughtful given that Varenna is a town nestled on a hillside. They can pick you up and drop off anytime from either the train station or the ferry pier ! The location is also perfect—right across from the church and just a short walk to the romantic lakeside path. Upon arrival, the staff greeted us with warm hospitality and pleasantly surprised us with a room upgrade. Every single staff member we encountered was wearing a smile; in fact, no matter who was at the front desk, they always remembered my name. As a traveler from Taiwan, I felt completely welcomed and experienced absolutely no discrimination whatsoever. It was such a touching and attentive touch for our honeymoon. The hotel boasts a breathtaking lake view, allowing guests to enjoy the scenery peacefully away from the crowded areas. It is the perfect choice for anyone looking to relax and have a wonderful experience in Lake Como."

"We booked a room for 2, but an extra twin bed was already there, so we are given a room for 3. The room is classic, clean and comfortable, with good air conditioning (but only Reception can adjust the temperature ) The wooden floor squeaks when stepped on . During our stay the elevator was out of order for a few hours, but quickly fixed. Breakfast is decent. Overall very one here is very nice ."
