The condition of Room 203 in Ash&9th (San Diego), where I booked Dec 1st to 6th and actually stayed on Dec 1st to 5th, was problematic. Specifically: * The heater did not function properly — it was not warm, made loud noises, and was difficult to turn on. * The drawer slid out by itself unexpectedly, which was frightening. It was then fixed by tightening it shut, making it unusable. These issues made it difficult for me to continue staying in the room, and therefore I had no choice but to check out on the morning of Dec. 5th.

I stayed there for four nights. The reception smelled like food, a bit dirty. The room was clean, and the service was good. The last night was terrible; I couldn’t sleep at all. There was a lot of noise outside: a person on a motorcycle in the hotel parking lot shouting and arguing, and I couldn’t rest.”

First of all they’re falsely advertising as a hotel when in fact it’s a motel, big difference. Then after canceling my room due to that fact, they tried to say someone was smoking in my room in order to keep my deposit, which is crazy due to the fact that I had 2 senior family members staying in that specific room. I checked out at 6am to attend an event on the Marine Corps base and I’m quite sure that due to the conditions of the room when it was checked in to, sticky floors, previous renters clothes behind furniture, the housekeeper didn’t come until the afternoon hours. Yet they “called “ the office to say that they felt the room had been smoked in. So not only are they advertising a hotel falsely, when you change your mind about the stay they’ll find a way to steal your money. If I could give them a zero rating I’d give the a negative 10.

Every time I visited the receptionist desk area, it was a different gentleman that was there. Some were rude and some were very nice. They didn’t allow me to check-in early and my room looked clean, but when the moment that I pulled my chair out, there was a pair of boxer briefs on it. The receptionist was nice enough to upgrade my room. However, the noises were so loud at night and a random stranger knocked on my door at 10pm in the middle of the night with his back turned against the door. He was just quietly staying there for a few minutes and I called the reception desk to check it out. I couldn’t sleep the rest of the night and I was horrified due to being a solo traveler. I attempted to check out the very next morning and got refunded for the other 2 nights that I am not staying. I was provided with a receipt and the receptionist told me to check with Expedia because sometimes the refund would not reflect since I booked it on here. But it’s been 3 business days and I still have not received the refund.

Tha main problems. I was on 4th floor and elevator didn’t Work. There is a man of front Desk very rude I ask for Uber and told my uber he needs to pay to park, Uber explained he came for me, , repeated again get out of here and wrote on pice of paper my uber plates. They were some people on the next room having a party at 3am , they wake up they had loud noises. Need to control , no parties to 1 am or be less loud. Rooms overall were good , clean and in good shape. I have to clean the air conditioner filter it was filthy so , o could work better. Only the externals need more paint and to be clean. It could be a treasure on the area for best value if the fox thosrvdetails they could increase the price to stay there.

Don’t judge a book by its cover. The outside is rough but the room was great. Super comfy bed, great shower, staff were so nice!! Some of the room amenities were a little loose (the toilet roll holder was falling off) but honestly it didn’t matter. The location was great. We walked around the area at Night and never felt threatened. I used to live in Downtown Vancouver, so the lower income residents that were on the streets here were friendly in comparison. Fairly quiet, right off the highway so easy to drive everywhere. Go to kind coffee down the street. Amazing coffee, wonderful service. Will definitely stay again.

The exterior of the property and the lobby did not look inviting, however the room I was given was lovely! The lady on the front desk was great & even gave me a better room than I had booked. Everything inside the room had been very recently renovated & the quality of the appliances was excellent. I would definitely stay here again! It was a bargain for the price!

Very disappointed with this stay. While the location is central to downtown SD, that was really the only upside of the stay. The room, on face value, looks okay. However, the AC did nothing to keep the room cool. It was difficult to sleep due to the temp in the room. Moreover, there were several cockroaches in the room #405. The shower is missing a door so all the water just spills out onto the floor. I wasn’t expecting much, but this was disappointing to say the least.

There was a few restaurants, cafes, tacos, sub sandwiches and small market stores a CVS and Ross.Other fast food McDonald's Burger King and Papa John's near by.
