Decent on the surface but terrifying in the depths

This beautiful little home was decent on the surface but terrifying within the depths. The listing promises heating (central - as the owner promised) yet the home has window a/c units which contradicts that statement. The actual central heater panel had NO POWER! I spoke with the owner and the owner went silent. The nights were 54degrees and we were freezing. Began attempting to cook and the knobs on the stove were extremely finicky. The top left and middle burner would not turn off. I contacted the owner requesting permission to simply unplug the stove as it was getting extremely hot. After an hour he responded and granted permission. This was a fire hazard! The home was partially surface clean. The shower head was gross with old soap and water stains. The shower has their used empty body wash and shampoo bottles. Long dark strands of hair everywhere and a deep body odor in the back bedroom. I literally had to purchase a candle. Lastly, no window coverings at the kitchen window and back door window. A clear sight from

Good location with all the basic needs met. Walkable to the beach which was great.Few things could have been better: - multiple overhead lights did not connect or turn on - shower head seemed faulty, hot water out of the faucet while the head had cooler water — and faucet didn’t turn off completely when the shower head was on. - many dead bees in the outdoor pool

Cute little home

The house is super cute and a nice place to stay. The backyard was a lifesaver for the kiddos when us adults were just too tired to keep entertaining them. Just a few things of note: the road is very busy at all hours and that made sleep a little difficult for us since we are used to the quiet. Also, if you’re planning on sleeping on the pull out couch, don’t. It was not comfortable. Other than that it was great! We really enjoyed our time! The only thing I’d recommend to the owner is getting a better broom. Sweeping everything as we cleaned up to leave was very difficult.

Centrally located

The good: house is centrally located to all major attractions. 10-20 minute drives. Off street parking was great. Nice backyard space to relax in. Owner was responsive and accommodating. The not so good: on a busy street so sometimes need to go around the block when backing out bc you can’t cross both lanes of traffic. Water pressure in the shower was terrible. Washer/dryer is small and takes hours. Clothes still don’t come out dry so plan accordingly around laundry. Beds were hard and uncomfortable. Would not stay there again.

Lovely

Great location, wonderful property!

We stayed during Christmas week and couldn't have been more impressed. The property was clean, nicely equipped - lots of great outdoor amenities on the patio, including light up floats in the mini pool and lots of solar lighting - so much fun on a nice night. The kitchen had everything we needed and beds were comfy - plenty of blankets, pillows and towels. We walked everywhere from the house including to our daughter's and many times down to the beach. Thank you for a great stay! We'll be back!

Fun over the 4th

Clean property, located on a very busy street in PB. Not too far from Sea World or the beach (about 1 mile). There are portable fans for two rooms and ceiling fans in the bedrooms and dining area. They help especially when its warm in the house at night. Leaving the windows open was way to noisy for us to sleep. Overall, our stay went well and we enjoyed the convenience of having some personal space on vacation.

Great location!

This property was in such a great location for our trip! It was just minutes from the beach and a few minute drive to Sea World, San Diego Zoo, Padres stadium, and other attractions. I loved being able to use the grill and the kitchen to cook our own meals and really appreciated the fact that a washer/dryer was available as well. Edward was very nice in all our communications and was incredibly accommodating when I asked in advance to change the dates on our reservation. Couple things to note: as noted in his listing, there is no air conditioner so it was a little warm in the house for my personal comfort (in June) but with the windows open and the ceiling fans on it was a comfortable temperature for sleeping. The property is right across the street from an elementary school playground so the noise from the children is quite loud. It didn’t particularly bother me, but it might bother other guests especially if you want to sleep in. Overall, very clean property and worked well for our trip. Thank you!
