Disappointed and angry
The property I reserved was not available due to broken air conditioning. At this point the host was very communicative…he offered another place that was far less convenient to a friends house in San Jose. However, we checked it out. Door code was incorrect, so we never got into the unit. It took us longer to get to the new property than host said it would, and it wasn’t yet rush hour. In addition, the immediate vicinity looked rather rundown- with trash back sitting in the alley behind the complex, and a dirty old mattress sitting next to a dumpster. I notified the host that the property would not work for us. He stated he would give me a refund. However, when a VRBO representative called me, they indicated they had to investigate. Since then, a couple of weeks ago, I have not heard ANYTHING from vrbo. I am now forced to dispute the charge through my credit card company! I definitely expected more from Vrbo.

Clean and Comfortable cozy two bedroom one bath apartment. Quiet and convenient San Jose location that checked all the boxes of what we needed on this trip. Owners very communitive.

The property was nice & clean. Very well appointed. Property owner was excellent with communication. It was a bit noisey because of location but overall, excellent stay.

Good for a budget traveler. Noisy due to highway and major street. Bright LED lights shining in windows at night. Block out curtains would make a big difference in the noise, light pollution and overall comfort. Centrally located, communicative owner. Overall clean but weirdly no top sheets on bed. Could use a deep clean of baseboards and corners. We felt safe despite it not being the best block.

We enjoyed our stay. We basically slept there and did sightseeing during the day. The minisplit units kept one bedroom very cold but the other was warm no matter what temp they were set on. The property felt safe and we had no issues with parking.

Do saved our stay
Do was a great host! when we arrived our parking space was unavailable and we didn't feel that the neighborhood was safe for our car or for us. Do was really supporting and reassured us about the safety of the area. Also, when the air conditioners weren't working he immediately gave us a trick to make them work again. The same when the wifi didn't worked, he helped us to solve the issue really fast. From one of the bedrooms you can barely hear the highway that is just in front of the unit. The kitchen is big, very well equipped and very organized. Also the door code makes the check in simple. Do sent us so much information about the area and also he gave us a late check out for free, we couldn't use it but it was nice.

We stayed there in June and it was a very comfortable stay overall. The unit had everything we needed. The host was very responsive to couple of issues we ran into and was prompt in answering any questions.

This apartment was reasonably close to Santana Row and the many restaurants there as well as the Winchester House. The owner was very prompt in responding to questions and concerns regarding the apartment and provided good advice for things to see and do, eat in the area. Overall, we had a pleasant experience at this reasonably priced (for the area) apartment that we stayed in for a SJSU graduation. It was convenient to I-280. However, the driveway is right on a busy street, so renters with cars must be very careful backing onto Moorpark Ave. The apartment was very clean, yet some things can be improved. When we arrived, there were no towels in the bathroom as the cleaning crew had locked them away. Also, there was no coffee available either free or for purchase and the kitchen faucet did not work on arrival. These things need to be checked before every stay but were promptly taken care of. The beds had cheap sheets and were not very comfortable. However, the a/c worked great and the tv was fine. The area has a lot of longer-term apartment dwellers and parked cars and trucks outside, as well as foot traffic. Not sure of the safety, but the lock on the door was secure. So, overall, we would recommend this property for budget travelers who wish to shop in Santana Row or get easy access to I-280. It was surprisingly quiet despite how close it was to the highway. Plusses outweighed the minor negatives.

Excellent Location

Wonderful property... Amazing Host
We decided to head out to San Jose to see our son who lives there. He has a studio apartment so we decided to look for someplace to stay for all three of us. This property was all that it promised..clean...comfortable...close to attractions, shops, restaurants and the major highways. Our host was an incredible resource. We were provided with an incredible amount of information and resources which made our visit to San Jose so very enjoyable. Our host reached out to check on us several times during the week to see if he could be of any help or offer any information. Our family highly recommends staying here if you are planning on visiting San Jose or surrounding areas. We will be returning!!

Apartment was clean and cozy
Neighbors we loud due to them having a party. I was told no loud noise after 8pm. Why wasn’t I given the same courtesy? I feel I should be refunded some of my money due to my inconvenience of not being able to sleeep due to the loud noise.

We adamantly stated that guests must IMMEDIATELY contact us for ALL problems, no matter how big or small they. Had you told us about it, we would make a quick call of the problematic guests downstairs and you would get back your peaceful night. Since you failed to do so, we had no idea what was occurring. Hence, the blame cannot be put on us.

Great location, comfortable, nice
This apt is a great location to visit San Jose attractions. Great Thai food is literally a 5 minute walk up the street. The rental is clean, comfortable. Easy to find, easy to access. We visited Winchester House, the Egyptian Museum and Santana Row. Would stay again.

A Great Find
This is a great location, close to Santana Row, restaurants (Vietnamese, Indian. Thai, Chinese, Vegan and American). Our host called two or three times to make sure everything was to ur satisfaction. For what you get, the price is very reasonable. You even have a garage with an automatic opener. The condo itself was very clean and well equipped. And, if you like to cook it, Safeway and other supermarkets are nearby. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful getaway in San Jose
This place was a nice, safe getaway in San Jose. Very close to the Winchester Mystery House, Santana Row etc...It was exactly as advertised. The owners were very easy to work with, always available and there to answer any questions. I also felt that they don't treat this as just a business but that they really care about the experience of the people who stay there. I felt truly welcomed. I recommend this place if you are looking for someplace nice, quiet, very safe, and easy to access. Highly recommend this property for a nice, cozy San Jose getaway. Would absolutely stay again in future. My thanks to the owners; it was a real treat to stay there.

The apartment was very comfortable and was a great place to get away and relax for the weekend. The rooms had comfortable blankets, beds, and pillows; the bathroom was clean and the shower was nice and spacious. The kitchen was fully stocked with a stove-oven, microwave, dishwasher, dishes, snacks, etc. The location was also convenient if you like to get out and explore cool things in the area. Definitely would consider staying here again.

This place is so close to everything that you need or want. Walking distance to Winchester House and a multitude of restaurants. Comfortable too.

Don't stay here
Would not recommend because of the myriad issues. First, sheets were very thin. Second, we were only given half a roll of toilet paper for our whole stay and had to resort to tissues. Third, the host told me I needed to check in later than advertised because of problems on his end without any apology or offer of compensation. Only after I pushed back did he agree to let us check in 15 minute behind schedule. Never received an apology. Fourth, he told me there was a fee for the snacks halfway into my trip then asked me to pay after my trip. If there's a fee, these need to be stated ahead of time or listed near the snacks themselves. Felt like a bait and switch; consumables on-site have been free in my past experiences. Finally, no coffee or filters despite the pot. While the host was responsive to messages, he was somewhat rude. I did appreciate the restaurant tips. Overall, I don't want to deal with these issues on a vacation.

We stated many times that if there is any issue no matter how big or small, the guests must immediately inform us. We received NOTHING from Sarah. Had she told us of these problems, we would EASILY solved them for her. (There are at least ten extra bed sheets in the closets for everyone to see and get. There are also extra toilet paper under the sink). Second, we let her in only FIVE MINUETS later, NOT 15, so what's the problem? Third, we informed her of the snack fees DAYS BEFORE she arrived, so there is no excuse. Even after she left, we politely asked her to pay for the snacks which she TOTALLY IGNORED our calls and text messages. If this is not PURE THIEVERY, then we don't know what is. Also, ALL the hotels operate the same way so ignorance is not an excuse. Fourth, there is FREE INSTANT COFFEE (plus water bottles) that you can use WITHOUT any coffee filter. Fifth, asking someone to pay for materials used is not rude but stealing them by not paying is. As of now, she has NO PAID us for the concessions consumed. She will not be welcomed back as it is our policy not to welcome dishonest thieves. Our place is reserved only for sincere ethical travelers.

Very nice base for visiting San Jose
Nice base to visit San Jose, few minutes drive to Santana Row and short drive to lots of good restaurants in the San Jose area. The owner is very responsive to any issues. Inside apartment is very clean and the appliances are new. Nice and quiet place to stay. The place also comes w/ garage for small car. Would recommended.
