The place is nice and I enjoy the 2nd floor large patio/balcony. However, the service is superb. Laurie and Miriam make you feel like family. There is definitely a personal touch you cannot get in a hotel.

What a wonderful start to our holiday in Costa Rica! The Cariari is a lovely, comfortable place to stay, and Laurie is the most welcoming host we have ever stayed with. She gave us a glass of wine and snack in the evening, and chatted with us for 20 minutes. She also sat with us and the other guests at breakfast. So helpful to get so much information and recommendations about Costa Rica at the start of our holiday. Miriam was friendly and caring too - and prepared a delicious breakfast for the morning with a lot of choice. We would happily stay again. Thank you Laurie and Miriam.

This was a perfect spot to stay near airport. Fantastic host greeted us warmly, beautiful and unique home. Great comfortable king bed and large bathroom en-suite. The breakfast spread was incredible, sitting out on the patio listening to the birds and rain. We will definitely be back!

Our stay was amazing! Miriam and Gerardo took care of my husband and I while we were in town for a business event. To say they went above and beyond would be an understatement. They treated us like family and were very attentive to our needs. I would highly recommend this bed and breakfast for a nice, relaxing stay.

The Cariari B&B was like a home away from home. The staff is so warm and welcoming. They were very accommodating when we requested an earlier breakfast. The inn is charming and the grounds are beautiful. There is an incredible roof top deck/lounge area to relax and dine. It is in a perfect location for a stay before or after flying out of San Jose. It was a memorable experience!

We loved our stay. Lorie was the ultimate hostess and welcomed us with a beverage and great patio space to hang out as we arrived earlier than check in time. Breakfast excelled and no one could go hungry with so many options. She is a people person and had many stories to share. The dogs, cats and parrot were also very welcoming. A great stay!

We LOVED staying here! Laurie was not there but Miriam was and she was so wonderful! She cooked us a fantastic breakfast each day and helped us with our Spanish! She kept our room immaculately clean and was so friendly. We even met her husband and nieces and we all had ice cream the last night we were there. We will definitely stay there again!

My partner and I had the pleasure of staying at The Cariari B&B, and it was an unforgettable experience. The property was absolutely gorgeous and the staff made us feel at home. The room was spotless, huge bathroom and bed was very comfortable. The property was walking distance to various restaurants and shops. The area felt very safe, we walked to the stores and restaurants at night. I highly recommend The Cariari B&B. The owner and her staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and well taken care of throughout our time there. We can't wait to return!

Cozy, family type b&b. The hosts were very nice, friendly and helpful. The house and facilities are outdated (house and neighbourhood built in the 80s). The online description did not quite match the reality: there were no restaurants, bar or spa on property. Breakfast was wonderful. If you don't like "cold hotels", this is your place.

Exceeded all expectations! Laurie was beyond a great hostess. She’s so down to earth, caring & tells it how it is. The immense pride she has for her B&B shows in her hospitality. I showed up after 2am and she got up and helped me in like it was any other check in time. Her staff member Mariam is so friendly and amazing chef, all food is cooked fresh and you will never ever leave hungry. My stay feels too short! Thanks for an amazing stay & I hope to return soon

The property is pity old and hasn't been updated. It still looks in the 80's. The host and the service was great. The electricity went away twice, the property should have a backup to have guests staying in B&B. Doesn't even have an AC.

The absolute warmest people - that's what stood out to me the most. It's such a treat to get to sit at the breakfast table with Laurie, to hear her stories of a life well lived and to share my own. The breakfast was outstanding, made with love by Miriam who is so gentle and kind. The B&B is clean, cozy and well located. I took a long stroll around the neighborhood which was lush and quiet. An overall excellent experience.
