“We ended up extending an extra night we loved it so much. Definitely recommend the night hike. Be warned- it is remote so only the on site restaurant (carrot soup was amazing) and sometimes limited water. Only accessible by 4x4 but easy to organize a ride with the lodge. Waking up to howler monkeys above your casita it totally amazing. ”

“Had the loft suite, was very clean and no issues with the amenities. Shared kitchen was basic but worked. After 4 night was tired of the bugs and spiders everywhere but that is just me. Room is exposed to the outdoors so had a large spider in our room one eveening we had to chase out. ”

The rooms on the first floor with volcano views from the veranda are great - worth paying extra for. Tasty, generous breakfast. Good location, walkable to ferry, and shops and restaurants of Moyogalpa. ”

“I am giving three stars because I expected more from the presidential room we paid for. While the staff were welcoming and helpful, the hotel itself left much to be desired. A major issue was the lack of hot water for showers, which is unacceptable considering the price of the presidential suite. Additionally, there were very few amenities included for example, the boat ride was not part of the package, which was disappointing. We were greeted by someone that spoke no english which was quite uneasy seeing as how we just arrived on the island at 6pm (sunset) and wanted to familiarize ourselves with the space. “This is a pretty expensive hotel for the location. The reception was closed and I had to call for help at the pool VHF-radio... Very few people speaks English. I stayed in a suite, which has a nice bed, almost the only good thing about the place. On day 2 afternoon I wanted to take a shower, but as on day 1 no hot water and after a few attempts no water at all, not even cold. No reception.
