“Everyone here seemed quite friendly and helpful. This was quiet and felt safe and there was an included breakfast.
One hope would be that coffee be offered at or before 7:00 a.m. as I'm an early waker. The only possible coffee option is McDonald's a walk away. this was the only issue, but not a big one at all. Thanks Hotel Portal. ”

“Only 30 min from the airport, up in the coffee covered hills above the very vibrant Alajuela neighborhood, is the best, not too expensive hotel in San Jose. Wonderful staff, beautiful grounds and gardens, nice food and a very relaxing setting. We really enjoy spending our last night, after puddle jumping and before getting on that big old jet liner, just decompressing in affordable luxury. Go there, you'll be glad you did.”
