We arrived yesterday to check in and the property is disheveled, but the staff was kind and seemed eager to please so we tried to let the small stuff slide. After working all day and having dinner we returned to find our room unbearably hot. It doesn't have true Air Conditioning in the unit, we had a portable unit attached to one of the windows with an exhaust hose. The room was dirty and nothing was plugged in or functional. Not the phone, not the tv, nothing. The couch was stained and the carpets were filthy.
I told my employee that I was going to bring it their attention and see if we could find a different room. This time an older indian gentleman who we presume was the owner tells us he will put us in a different room.
He walked us clear across the property to a dimly lit dingy room which also had no Air Conditioning. As we were walking back towards reception, the owner said theyhad just purchased the property 3 weeks ago and that they had many problems to tackle but they hoped to update the property sometime next year.
Long story short, I was not and am not comfortable or satisfied with either room they attempted to put us in. Neither was up to a basic standard that I find acceptable and certainly not worthy of paying for a weekend at.
We left and found a reasonably priced room at Best Western Plus. I called and politely asked him to cancel the stay and he said he would cancel Sat/Sun, but tried to protest when asked to cancel the first night.
Do not book.
