Great home for a group

This house and the huge yard with multiple seating areas was perfect for our family. The kitchen had everything we needed, the living area was big with games to play, and the patio table was great for our breakfast. The decor was great and everything is updated.

Great last-minute stay!

We were lucky to book this property after a last-minute issue with our other lodging arrangements. The yard and landscaping are amazing, and we were able to see a rocket launch out of Vandenberg SFB from the desert garden out front! Perfect for our multi-generational group, and conveniently located for Santa Barbara and surroundings.

Huge house in a great location.

I booked this place for a college reunion. It had everything we needed. Plenty of room for everyone. Short trip to the UCSB and downtown area. The backyard was huge. The neighborhood was quiet during our stay. I would definitely book again.

Lovely Space Inside and Out

The house is spacious and well furnished with big windows to let the outside In. The outside is amazing: artistically designed landscaping that includes beautiful flowers loved by hummingbirds and much green grass with strategically placed sitting areas, one with a portable fire pit. Great for late night confabs. A really pleasant space to inhabit for a few days.

Blissful Birthday at Hummingbird Haven

We stayed at Hummingbird Haven to visit and celebrate my son's 21st birthday! I brought my elderly in-laws and my spouse and daughter too. In addition, we brought our 2 doodles.The house was just spectacular and comfortable. It had so much space and it was so cozy and comfortable for all of the young and elder adults. The house was super clean. The beds had great clean linen and very comfortable. There was plenty of towels and general supplies which made it very comfortable.The kitchen was probably the best part of it. It was fully stocked with coffee, grinder, oven, toaster oven, etc. More importantly, it was well stocked with utensils (from knives, spatulas, etc.) and simple things like sugar, salt, pepper, kitchen spices, saran wrap and foil. Also, the freezer had awesome cocktail large ice cubes and spheres - which was great for our cocktails. The host left 2 pitchers of water chilling in the fridge - thanks!My only suggestion would be to convert the fireplace inside to gas. The smoke from the wood fire came inside as the fire subsided from cold air coming down the chimney. Avoid using it.There was so much cleaning supplies which made it very easy and convenient to clean anything from the floor, tables, rug, and pots/pans. A new sponge was ready for our use. These small touches make ALL the difference and feels like you are home away from home.The AvantStay team also provided a welcome gift of a hat, bag, and some snacks. Super nice touch!

Great weekend stay at Hummingbird Haven!

We had a lovely weekend stay at this beautiful, well maintained pet friendly home while in Santa Barbara to check out wedding venues. Th house was exactly as advertised but in our opinion it was much better in person. The home was lovely and very well equipped. The yard and outdoor areas were just beautiful and very relaxing. It was nice to be away from the hustle and bustle of downtown but only a short easy Uber or drive away to every place in Santa Barbara. We will definitely keep this as our place to stay while visiting the area again. Thank you to our host for allowing to enjoy this beautiful home!

Great place

This is a great house. We had 7 adults and stayed at the end of June. The back and front yards are wonderful. We were all able to sit around the dining room table and in the living room.

This place is GREAT!

Totally updated with whimsy and style. Great for family and dog. Loved the big lawn for kids and pooch while we bbq’d and chilled on the patio. Awesome yoga/massage/IR sauna studio walking distance away. Local shopping including farmer produce stand very close. Easy to get to downtown SB and beaches (great sunset beach walks this time of year). Host was responsive and easy to work with.
