Family Road Trip
We loved staying in this wonderful home. It was welcoming, clean, and comfortable. The location was great for getting out and exploring the beaches and community. Rick and Lynne were in residence in the separate cottage on the property while we were there. We crossed paths outside a couple of times. They are so friendly, ready to answer touristy questions, while also being completely considerate of their guests' privacy. If you are considering staying here, everyone in our party highly recommends it.

Lovely house in a great location
Hosts were very friendly. Although they were located in a separate building on the property they definitely gave us our space. The house is just lovely and has a very well equipped kitchen. This was a perfect location for us as we were visiting family in Goleta.

Thank you to the gracious hosts for making us feel like a home away from home. The house was fully stocked, impeccably clean and spacious. Wonderful for children with many books and toys while the backyard is fully enclosed and private. A fantastic neighborhood close to everything. Quiet and peaceful- great for relaxing and recharging!

Highly recommend for families!
We very much enjoyed our stay at Rick and Lynne’s home. With two young kids, it was important for us to find a kid friendly house and their place had everything you need and more to offer. It was truly home away from home kind of experience. Furthermore, Rick and Lynne even went above and beyond to help us by driving down some of our stuff that wouldn’t fit in our rental car to our next hotel location.

Great hosts, great house, great location
This was our second time staying at the property for some of us. The house is well furnished both for small children and for our group of five 55+ siblings and a spouse. We appreciate the warmth and helpfulness of hosts Lynne and Rick who are 100% respectful of our privacy. We hope to return for another stay and will recommend this VRBO to our cousins who also visit Santa Barbara.

Wonderful Beach House
This is our second time staying here. We loved our first stay, even more our second, and we are confident we will be back. This house is fully equipped and is great for a solo trip, couples but even better for a family. The house is comfortable, has AC, great amenities, toys and books for kids, beach towels, tv… The house is in a quiet location, and even though the hosts live at backyard cottage, it felt very private. We personally love saying hi to them. They are knowledgeable, kind and always available. The backyard is spacious and has a lovely fireplace. We enjoy grabbing a sip of wine at the end of the day and making s’mores with our daughter.

Wonderful stay in Santa Barbara
This house is a gem for a great visit to Santa Barbara or Goleta. Very nice living space for a dinner party - we were very comfortable with a group of six. The bedrooms are just as described and beds are comfortable. House was very clean and appliances are excellent. We did not meet the hosts but they were most helpful with a couple of questions and responded quickly. We had a great time and had no complaints. Thank you, Rick and Lynn for helping us have a fun San Marcos reunion!

Book this rental immediately!
I can't use enough adjectives to describe how wonderful it was to stay at Rick and Lynne's place. We were a party of 6, with two small children. The home is supremely well-equipped, immaculately clean, and simultaneously a children's delight and child-proof. It's welcoming and homey, decorated in bright colors with interesting touches and yet totally comfortable. Even better, the spirit of the home invites relaxation and joy. We were in Santa Barbara for our son's wedding, which meant there were a lot of activities on the weekend. The home made it possible for us to be on the go and then come back to a cocoon of rest and beauty. I don't think we would have had such a magical weekend without this respite. You'll be just as satisfied as we were! It will be our Santa Barbara go-to from now on.

Very sweet hosts
Great at communication. Emailed everything we possibly need to know and expect from the stay to the check-in and making sure that our stay is comfortable with our 14 months old baby! Provided us with toys. Our baby didn't really play with them but enjoyed the children's books also available for use. Even provided us with a pack and play without us asking for one. The property is a little small drive to State street but we were also going to Solvang so the property worked out for us. We would definitely recommend you staying here with family and friends.

Wonderful Santa Barbara Visit

The accommodations, location and hosts were superb!
This home was the perfect place to "land" following our late night arrival at the Santa Barbara airport. We were a family group of 3 adults in town to spend time with our aunt and cousins and to enjoy a 6-day break from East Coast winter weather. We used the third bedroom to host California out-of-town friends including one traveling with her small dog. Our hosts, Rick and Lynne, were very helpful both before and during our visit as well as generous with oranges, lemons and passion fruit from their garden! The location is residential and quiet, yet very convenient to the beach, shopping, restaurants and the airport. We hope to stay here again in the future.

Excellent Property
The house is great with comfortable rooms and supportive neighbors. While local restaurant dining was curtailed by Covid and cold/wet weather for out first week, the property's excellent kitchen facilities allowed us to entertain friends in style. Our main gripe is with VRBO which twice changed the entry key code and locked us out of the house until we could contact the owner Rick who was on vacation out of the country.

Peaceful family sanctuary
Rick and Lynne's home was the perfect retreat for our 4 generation family. The kitchen is well stocked for every conceivable need, and the hosts went above and beyond to accommodate both great gramma and baby. The spaces are all welcoming and comfortable. Our host Lynne stopped by to introduce herself and we enjoyed meeting her. We seldom saw them during our stay although they live on the property, but they were easy to contact for questions. Just so relaxing for all of us.

5 Star Place & 5 Star Hosts
This is one of those times that you almost don't want to leave a review because you want to keep this perfect spot for your own future bookings... But Rick & Lynne were the best hosts with an ideal home for visiting UCSB & the Goleta / Santa Barbara Area - they deserve the recognition. What else can I say - the home was super clean, stocked with everything we needed (we discovered a new family favorite board game and were even treated to some delicious fruit Lynne harvested from the garden) and the neighborhood was quiet - but full of friendly people we met while walking our dogs. This is the spot! Thanks Rick & Lynne for hosting us. We will be back.

AMAZING stay!!
This house was perfect. Beautifully appointed, PERFECTLY situated close to everything..the beach, the mountains, and downtown restaurants and life! The owners could not have been more generous with making sure everything was perfect...from sharing their home to helping us when we needed suggestions. I sure hope life lets up come back to Santa Barbara soon--would stay here in a heartbeat.

Wonderful family vacation
Rick and Lynne are amazing hosts! We absolutely loved our time in their immaculate, comfortable home. They were very helpful with anything we needed during our stay and allowed us our privacy too. Their home was the perfect backdrop to a much needed time with our adult children. We loved the living space and the kitchen is well stocked with everything we needed during our stay. We will definitely be back again!

It was a nice, quiet home. It was about a 10-15 easy drive to Santa Barbara wharf. The home is well stocked and very comfortable. The owners were very helpful and communicative. The owners are on the property in a cottage in the backyard. We had a wonderful and relaxing stay.

We strive very hard to provide a perfect clean quiet comfortable 5-STAR home (in our price range) with maximum privacy for our guests. Rebecca provided several nice positive comments and then only 4 stars which doesn’t seem justified.

Wonderful Home
The home and backyard area made for a wonderful stay. Felt like I was at home with all the comforts and amenities. Comfortable couches, kitchen was well stocked, W/D, plenty of room to spread out and everything else we needed. Communication with our hosts and the instructions made the stay easy to manage. Hosts made sure we had everything we needed and unfortunately we could not chat with them in depth. Location was perfect. It was a short walk/run to get on the trail that leads all the way down to the Goleta Beach (approximately 3 miles), short drive to the 101, shopping, and downtown SB. When we are back in the area visiting family this home will be top on our list of places to stay. Thank you to our hosts.

Highly recommend
My husband and I along with our two kids rented the house for five days. We enjoyed everything about our stay. The house was located close to everything. We were able to spend time on our bikes, went on a lot of walks along the trail, and drove to several different places all fairly close to the house. The hosts were amazing and super hospitable. They were there if we had questions or needed anything, but we’re not in our way at all. The house was clean and stocked with everything you need. I highly recommend this house.

Extremely satisfied
This was absolutely one of the best experiences I have had through VRBO and it all had to do with the owners of the house. First off, the house was so comfortable, extremely clean, and went beyond our expectations. The pictures do not do it justice, it truly is perfect. Secondly, the owners of the property, Rick and Lynn, were so accommodating and helpful during our stay. Always making sure we had everything we needed and recommending the best places to visit and eat during our stay. Communication with the owners of these rental properties is extremely important to me so it was so nice to know they were available when we needed them. I honestly can not give enough praise about the house and the owners. We will definitely be renting here again. Thank you Rick and Lynn for making sure our girls vacation was such a memorable time.

Lovely stay
We had a very lovely stay at this property, and would absolutely book it again. The house was clean and comfortable and situated in a quiet neighborhood next to walking and bike paths. It is also updated with newer amenities/appliances and a newer central air system with both heat and AC (a must for us!). At first, I was a little stressed that the owners were on site, but Rick and Lynn were so very friendly and kind that this became a non-issue. They definitely gave us our privacy, but we all enjoyed chatting as well. The yard is very cute and spacious with outdoor seating, and it’s fully enclosed with high fences. It was perfect for our Aussie and Chihuahua. We hope to stay again in the near future!

Amazing!
We had a strange work emergency when driving back home (orange county) & needed a place immediately, that had WiFi & would allow dogs....(basically 3 in all of SB) so I sent the owners a message & they got right back to me. They said they would be willing to make an exception for the dogs...when we got there, I was a little uncomfortable because they were in the guest house in back. I’m just very private person. So we pulled I that night & Rick met us to let us in & was an exceptionally nice person...the next day I met his wife Lynne & I honestly have made a friend for life! They are both incredible people & Lynne & I will be friends for a very long time! Really....an amazing stay & the yard is PERFECT for dogs!!! Criya

Clean, Quiet, Spacious
Rick and Lynne provide a great home for our business stay. The house is very clean, comfortable, spacious, and on a quiet street. Shower and bath tub were fantastic. It feels like a home and would definitely be ideal for a family stay as well. We were sad we couldn't spend more time at the home due to our work location change - Rick and Lynne are so sweet and kind! Thank you very much for the hospitality and great home.

Really Great Property!

However The property was spacious and catered for our needs. We loved the owners, Rick & Lyn who bent over backwards to help us whenever we needed it, but I don’t think we would have managed or enjoyed it nearly as much if it had not been for my sister who lives in SB. She drove us everywhere.

We are located 5 minutes to the airport, UCSB and beaches and within a 5-10 minute drive to downtown Santa Barbara as explained in our listing. The guests did not have a car of their own so I presume that inspired their moderate 3 out of 5 star rating. Otherwise they confirmed to us that they found our home clean, spacious and with all the needed amenities.

Worked out perfectly in all ways.
WE stayed 5 days/4 nights in this home. It was very comfortable and extremely well supplied with those incidentals you might forget, plus . . . It felt clean, relaxing, and nicely remodeled. The photos represent it well. It is roomy and bright with plenty of room for gathering both indoors and out. Owners were very easy to work with and timely with their communications. It was perfect for us. Easy access to airport.

We unfortunately had what is becoming the California summer experience, fire. The owners of the property contacted us through every means they had to counsel regarding fire watch. The event we were down for was very enjoyable.

Bachelorettes in Wine Country!
The house was very spacious. Rick and Lynne, the owners were extremely friendly and welcoming. They are there if you need you for any assistance. The rooms are so comfy. We went to local wineries and came back to play games and just have bachelorette fun. It was a great time had by all. At first, some of the gals were skeptical about the sleeping arrangements. But once they saw how roomie it was, everyone made themselves at home and the shenanigans began. Thank you for letting us stay in your home and for being so welcoming!
