Perfect getaway

We really enjoyed our stay, more than enough room for our family. House was nice and clean, the pool was such a nice added bonus. The beach was a short walk away.

Perfect Getaway

We had an amazing stay! The location of this home is perfect—just a short walk or bike ride to the beach, restaurants, and coffee shops. The house was clean and the beds were comfortable. The pool was a great bonus after a long day at the beach. We will definitely be back.

Love this area and this house

The location is perfect, you're close to the beach, you have the bakery and a place to get smoothies walking distance. The house is set up just like it looks in the pictures and the family really enjoyed it. Very spacious, we could have family meals and use the space inside or outside by the grill. And of course the little personal pool was a huge hit for after the beach and evenings.

Amazing Place!

Absolutely beautiful home! Convenient to the beach and to local restaurants. Property Manager was easy to communicate with (we only had a couple of questions but, received swift and courteous responses). We had a fantastic time and made new memories and this property was a bing part of it.

Wonderful property & great location

Although my wife and I have come to 30a for the last 14 years, this was our first time staying in Blue Mountain Beach and the longest stay we've done. We picked this house for the location and pool and weren't disappointed. The house was great. There's a lot of bedrooms, but it's not a large home overall. Plenty of space for families though. The bathrooms were great. Kitchen was great. We cooked quite a bit. The pans were all pretty done, but I reached out to the manager and she brought us a new set asap which was super nice. Some of the furniture and beds were getting a little worn and will need to be replaced soon, but good for now. Management was quick to respond to all my questions which was great. I had no concerns about texting them if needed. Location is really good. Public beach access is a couple of blocks away. You could definitely walk it if you wanted to and would probably take ten minutes. We rented a golf cart and drove to the beach every morning. If you get there by 9am, there was always a parking spot. The beach itself was spectacular. We did beach service every day which I highly recommend. My favorite part of this house was the pool however. It's small, but was just right for us. There's nothing quite like spending a half day or full day at the beach and then coming home for a quick dip in the pool to cool down. Now we're talking about putting this size pool in our own backyard!! :) I'd definitely recommend this property!

Beautiful place and very convenient to beach access.

Lovely place. Management was very fast and responsive to any questions. My only tidbits for the owners would be to add a pair of scissors and pot holders to the kitchen. We needed both multiple times and there were not any. Easy close access to beach and house was comfortable and well decorated.

Cute, Clean and Convenient!

We enjoyed our long New Year's weekend at Salty Blues! Very well-appointed home with a great layout, the spacious bedrooms and bathrooms offer privacy for multiple guests, couples and families. The location and community were convenient, walkable to several restaurants, an organic market, Blue Mountain Bakery, as well as an easy bike ride to the beach access. Our four-legged kids also enjoyed the dog park less than 100 steps away from the house and we are always grateful to find a nice home allowing us to bring our beloved pets - they like to travel, too! The pool, grilling area and covered decks offer a nice escape to relax with sounds of the waterfall! We have typically rented at the other end of 30A but really enjoyed Blue Mountain Beach, Grayton and Santa Rosa with less crowds! A great way to ring in the new year! Thanks!

Deceptive description

Salty Blues is a nice property in a picturesque neighborhood. There are plenty of restaurants/shops in the general vicinity & the bicycles were great to get around on. The dog park across the street was well-kept & convenient. Our dog really enjoyed it. However, it’s time to change the caption “brand new” as that is no longer the case (established 2018). Everything is getting worn— needs painting all over, limited outdoor furniture by the pool needs refurbishing, NO OUTDOOR FURNITURE on the balcony (I would have loved to sit out there in the early morning with my coffee...peeked over at the property to the left & there was nice furniture by the pool & on the balcony). Not sure the cleaning people know the true meaning of clean; front entrance door had dead insects/spiderwebs surrounding it which was super gross; door to patio/pool could also use a good wipe down. The floors were dirty—thank goodness we brought cleaning supplies with us but had to go buy a mop first (theirs was very filthy), the door handle on the freezer needs tightening, every time I pulled on it I felt like it was going to fall off (an easy fix). There was no stopper for the kitchen sink (bought one), no dishcloths just a couple of drying cloths & a small sponge. The cookware needs a serious upgrade. The upstairs hall bath was not thoroughly cleaned—with dirt/debris in the corners & random hair everywhere, including on the dirty shower curtain & dirty liner (both need replacing). Consider buying disposable liners to replace after each stay (COVID-19). There was random hair on the upstairs hall couch & in the sitting areas/pillows of all the rooms. The kids room could use additional lighting & a side table/nightstand. The rental needs pest control services as there were a lot of bugs, gnats & ants crawling around inside & out. The WiFi provided did not connect. We had to connect to next door’s connection which was weak so my teacher daughter had to sit outside 2 weekdays for the best signal. I called, texted & emailed Emily but the WiFi issue was never resolved. We really expected more from Salty Blues in terms of cleanliness based on other reviews. In spite of the aforementioned complaints, we managed to enjoy our stay. The washer/dryer is nice & reliable. Nice bath towels, glassware, dinnerware, & silverware. Beds were comfortable, A/C worked well, & the small pool was a nice touch. Blue Mountain Beach is a nice area & Salty Blues is conveniently located in the middle.

We stayed here when our adult children. We had a blast. The pool area was great for hanging out and games. Everyone has their own room which made it super nice. Kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. Highly recommend!!

Great property. As described.

Rooms were great. Master upstairs had a phenomenal bathroom. Everything was as advertised on the listing. The house was probably 1/2 to 3/4 mile to the beach entry. We rented a golf cart for the week, which was fun. You can get to most places via golf cart. Very pleased with the condition of the property and amenities. Would recommend.

Great Location & Amenities for our Group!

This was our first visit to the 30A panhandle area and we were really guessing as to where to situate ourselves for the week. Turns out the Salty Blues was the perfect spot for our group of 5 adults (ages 42-66), 2 kids (ages 7 &11) and 2 small dogs. This home is situated at a good midpoint along 30A which allowed us to efficiently explore the entire area and we ended up with a great overview. Whether we were on foot, on bikes, on our rented golf cart or in car, we had convenient access to restaurants, beaches, and shopping. And even with all there was to explore, I think our group would say we most enjoyed being together at the house! It was welcoming and fully appointed and we loved having the small but private pool at our disposal! I was surprised how much we enjoyed that pool and deck! We all slept well and remarked how soundproof the house was considering it seemed all the houses on the street were filled with vacationers the week we were there! The dog park right across the street was so convenient too. Our multigenerational family group gives it a big thumbs up!

great getaway house!

We had the best time this house. It was super clean, easy to check in with a simple code. Comfy beds, plenty of towels and it is adorable. Loved the pool! It is a short bike ride or car ride to the beach, kind of far to walk. would definitely stay here again.

Everything was perfect. We loved the house, the pool, and even the short walk to the beach. What wasn’t within a short walking distance easy to access by car. We used the Shipt app to order our groceries which saved us time and stress. Enjoyed every minute of our time!

Family reunion

Salty Blues was a perfect setting for our reunion. Close to beach, Blue Mountain Bakery, ice cream shop. Renting a golf cart and having the private pool, was one of the highlights for our grandchildren!

Great Experience in Blue Mountain Beach

We were very happy with this house for our first vacation in over a year. It was very clean, had everything we needed and especially enjoyed having our private pool right out the back door. The beach was a little further away than we expected, but still just a short walk across and down the street. We had plenty of room for our family and liked that the entire house was hardwood flooring. The neighborhood where the house was located was very nice and we enjoyed the restaurants that were down the street in Blue Mountain Beach.
