The property was neat and clean. Had all amenities needed for a family. The location was fabulous and very near to the famous Oia blue domes. Opposite view was blue sea. The host of the property Stavi was very helpful and friendly. She gave us the ideas what to see and how to get to those locations. All in all I would highly recommend.

Great location with breathtaking view from the balcony. Stavi met us at the property, super kind and helpful. Bed was comfortable, internet and ac in the room. Small bathroom, but they are cave houses 😊Housekeeping comes daily. Lots of shops and restaurants near by. (Make sure you have comfy shoes, steep stairs and lots of walking 😉)

Good view, near Main Street

The room is big, there is bathing tub, balcony, traditional cave hotel, our room is facing the sea, very beautiful, kitchen with utensils is provided. All the door and window can open with glass, that we can have sea view even we close the door, we can wash clothes and hanging in balcony, it drys in hours, lots of hanger are provided, it is very considerate. Our room is next to the road, can move to the Main Street in minutes. The reception is very nice and helpful, they help us to apply for a boat trip, that is very nice trip, thx very much. We stay for 2 nights, an extra bed sheet and blankets is provide on request. Transportation is provided on request too. In all, very good experience for our stay in Santorini. Thanks you all

Baby had a horrible time!

Our baby had the worst time. There were insects in the house, and the bedsheets were not washed properly. His face had two reactions on each side. The property and location is great, but the cleanliness could be better. Also, a lot of steps to the apartment. So make sure your knees and back are in good shape.

nice location, great view

The house is not so big but quite clean and comfortable. it's located almost in the center of the main street. There's a wonderful view wherever you look out from the house. The sea and small white houses with blue roofs are breathtaking and unforgetable. Inside there's a kitchen. We've made a simple breakfast once and have it on the private balcony. It's really fantastic!! Highly recommend staying in Oia.

Friendly host and perfect view

The host was super friendly and helpful. He arranged a donkey to carry our luggage to the house and explained every detail about the house and Oia once we arrived. On the next day, we bumped into him on the street and told him that we carelessly made the floor of the bathroom wet, he cleaned that up in no soon. The arranged transfer from and to the airport was great and on time, nothing to complain. We truly appreciated his effort. We'd got six persons so two of us slept on the sofa beds, which were totally broad enough to sleep comfortably. The kitchen was not well-equipped so it might only be suitable to cook a simple breakfast but we still cooked the dinner every night. Often we had the dinner on the balcony, watching the starry sky, which was an unforgettable and beautiful experience. I was not sure why, but the sofa on the balcony was wet sometimes so we used towels to cover the sofa before sitting. The location of the house was perfect. The sea view with the bell was breathtaking. We spent a whole afternoon taking photos there while enjoying the sunlight. All the souvenir shops, blue church and windwill were in 2-10min walking distance. Supermarket and bus shops were also nearby. However, the bathroom on the ground floor couldn't be locked while the bedroom on the second floor was too dark at night with deem light. Hope that the host will fix it. But generally we did love the experience living there and hope to come back again.

We had a fantastic time, the cave house had everything we needed and more. Eva was great at communicating with us and very helpful with giving us recommendations for restaurants, things to do and even the history of the island. We absolutely loved this place, the view was so beautiful and tranquil and yet we were so close to the main tourist areas. When we came back in the evening it was so lovely chilling in the hot tub with a glass of wine while watching all the boats coming back and the sun disappearing. I would highly recommend the cave house and would love to come back someday.

Small and comfortable with daily cleaning. Not too close to the bustle and a short walk to shops and restaurants. I would recommend only for those comfortable with numerous uneven steps to and from everything. Not really equipped for cooking, but small fridge and water kettle. Lovely view.

The property was nice and centrally located to explore Oia. We had a nice time, could watch the sunset and the sun rise from the balconies. Vue magnifique

Le lieu est idyllique au coeur d'Oia. Le logement est typique de Santorin, et le petit balcon est parfait pour prendre son café face à la mer. A noter la gentillesse de Victor qui a pris nos valises et nous a indiqué le chemin jusqu'à l'hôtel. Je recommande Genesis Cave Houses pour un séjour à Oia.

Warning! pictures not accurate on all rooms

Warning! When we arrived at the property there was no hot tub even though it clearly shows one in the pictures of the villa we selected, I let the owner know who just said we can move to a different apartment which does have a hot tub so we agreed but this turned out to be 15m walk away and didn't have the caldera views, although the place was very nice we felt that the first day was wasted and stressful and that the pictures need to be more accurate for the correct rooms. I spent £200 a night to have to be moved around and it was so hot we needed the pool/hot tub to cool down.

Best View, Best Host!

The property has a breath taking view of the volcanic caldera and is situated in the heart of Oia city. The best part was George, the host at the property who helped us with our tourist plans and also helped with multiple other things, including airport transfers. The property is very clean and very accessible. Perfect recommendation for anyone’s Santorini visit.
