The Space:
*Máyema* is located near the sea, within the residential area of Kamari, blending comfort
with Cycladic aesthetics to create an ideal space for relaxation and enjoyment. The house
features two bright bedrooms with anatomical double beds and two fully equipped
bathrooms, a characteristic loft with a double bed, a laundry area, a living room, a kitchen,
and a balcony. The open and airy space of the living room and kitchen perfectly integrates
traditional architecture with the characteristic arches.

The house is fully equipped with a sofa bed (single size), 3 air conditioners, 3 televisions, a
fire extinguisher, a refrigerator, an oven and microwave, a solar system for hot water, free
Wi-Fi, Netflix, hairdryer, an iron, coffee makers, a toaster, a sandwich maker, and everything
else you might need to feel welcome and make this apartment your own, just as we have
lovingly prepared it for you with warmth and hospitality. The comfortable balcony offers a
view of both the sea and the village.

The location of the house is excellent, as it is only 300 meters (3 minutes on foot) from the
nearest supermarket and 400 meters (5 minutes on foot) from the village square, where you
will find a cinema, bookstore, shops, and restaurants. You can also enjoy a walk through the
village’s traditional white narrow streets. Most importantly, the distance to the sea (black
sand beach) is only 600 meters (8 minutes on foot) from the beach and the pedestrian
promenade by the sea, with cafes, shops, and restaurants. This house offers the perfect
balance between tranquillity and easy access to all the village’s amenities and the sea.

The beach is covered with the famous black volcanic sand and small pebbles, characteristic
of Santorini’s beaches due to the island’s volcanic activity. It is known for its clean and safe
waters, making it a popular choice for swimming, and the Blue Flag recognition confirms the
high quality of the beach. Kamari Beach is ideal for those who want to enjoy the sea in an
organized environment, with all the island’s amenities, while also discovering the local life
and culture.

Ancient Thira 2,6 km is one of the most important archaeological sites on Santorini, located
at the top of Mount Profitis Ilias, within the village of Kamari. This location offers stunning
views of the Aegean Sea and the rest of Santorini and is particularly interesting for visitors
who love archaeology and history.

Kamari is very close to Santorini’s international airport, just 2,5 km (10 minutes by car), and
7 km from the center of Santorini, Fira, where you can experience the beauty of the caldera.
You can move around by renting a car, van, or using a taxi. There are also regular bus
routes during the summer season, with the bus stop located just 200 meters from the house.

We would like to inform you about an important regulation mandated by the Greek government. From April to October, all guests are required by law to pay an Environmental Fee. This fee cannot be included in the booking price and must be collected separately before arrival, as stipulated by the Greek authorities.

This amount is not a charge from us, and we do not profit from it in any way.

Once we collect this fee, we pay it in full directly to the government as a tax.

Unfortunately, we are not allowed to waive, reduce, or absorb this fee, no matter the circumstances.

Payment is required before check-in, as per Greek law.

We completely understand this might be frustrating, and we sincerely wish we could make it easier for you. However, we are legally obligated to comply, and without this payment, check-in is not permitted.
