What a cozy, lovely place to stay!
The Nook is a real gem in Saranac Lake! My wife & I could have just stayed inside the entire time, it's that cozy! Mary & Kevin are the most friendly, hospitable hosts, ready to answer any questions, give recommendations of things to do, places to eat. We were more than thrilled to stay there, and we will be back!!

Great place in Saranac Lake
The Nook is as advertised. It's very clean, comfortable and a great location to walk to dinner and breakfast. It's also central for hiking or paddling. Very comfortable and Mary is great to work with.

Million Dollar Views!
My wife and I loved the condo! Our favorite parts were the views and watching the sun melt into the gulf every night! It was everything that was advertised in the listing and more. The condo is a nice size, quiet, very nice furniture and an awesome king size bed in the master. We also liked that you could walk to restaurants nearby. The Marriott Resort had several nice options, and the Bimini Bait Shack was a great place to grab a beer and a burger. Easy access by car to Sanibel, Captiva, Ft. Myers and Cape Coral.

Nice Getaway!
The getaway was very clean and the host was very helpful. Lake Saranac has lots of great places to eat and drink and is very close to Lake Placid. The Olympic Skyride was fun and there was great shopping in downtown Lake Placid. We hit up some antique shops and breweries as well. The location was perfect for a weekend getaway.

Perfect Nook for the Weekend!
Our experience at the Nook and Inner Quest Yoga and Wellness Center was awesome! It was a perfect spot to complete our first 6er at St Regis and then a recovery day of Yoga and meditation. Mary was awesome and she guided us through a session that was very well done and left us feeling whole. Highly recommended! We will be returning for many years to come!

We really loved everything about The Nook, our hosts, and our time in the area. The privacy, comfy bed, soaking tub, and sitting area made us feel at home. There's much to see that I recommend staying a week, especially if you like to hike.

Adorable apartment
Kevin and Mary were very welcoming hosts. The apartment had everything I needed for the week that I stayed. I prefer to walk to as many places as possible and I was able to walk into downtown in about 15 minutes, including to the wonderful Saturday morning Farmers Market. There is also an inexpensive bike rental directly across the street, accessible using the Movatic app. I am working remotely while traveling, and the apartment was a peaceful environment to work in. The internet connection wasn't optimal, and I did end up going to Nori's (the nearby health food store) to work. I loved walking the rail trail that runs behind the house, and across the street in both directions- into town and to Lake Colby. A lovely stay in a lovely town with wonderful hosts.

Aw thanks Jacqui for the review so glad you had a pleasant stay and took advantage of the rail trail. Just a mention about the internet ... I wish you would have said something, as sometimes we need to unplug it and then plug it back in. Also, there is the option that folks can work in my studio which is closer to the internet box. Weve had many people stay with us that work remotely.

Lovely little nook!
Perfect place to sleep at the heart of Saranac Lake. I would recommend reading the binder Mary has provided in the room, it gave us a lot of ideas for activities! This little nook is perfect if you just need a bed and a shower/bath and plan on eating out most of your meals.

A mini refrigerator w/freezer, microwave, toaster, and Keurig coffee maker allow guests to prep and heat simple meals and make coffee or tea provided. There is an outside grill for those who wish to use it and a table and chairs set in the warmer weather.

Perfect location
The Nook was perfect for our quick trip to Saranac Lake and Lake Placid. A quiet, cozy place to relax and unwind after days filled with adventure and sight-seeing. Everything was within walking distance in Saranac Lake, and a short drive to most of the other destinations we wanted to see! Mary and Kevin were kind and helpful, and happy to have Canadians back at the Nook! We plan on returning next year:)

Such a cosy little place (little for a vacation home, so much roomier and more comfy than a hotel room!). I loved this stay--from being able to make myself toast in the morning to taking a luxurious bath in the soaking tub at night. It was an easy walk down the hill to downtown Saranac Lake for dinner at the Downhill Grill or any other local favorite restaurant (though it would also be an easy drive). The owners are wonderful, and I had a great yoga therapy session with Mary as well. I definitely plan to return for cross-country skiing this winter!

Perfect getaway
The Village Nook was very well appointed and very clean. A relaxing stay, and great place to come back to after a day of paddling.. Mary was so nice, hope to meet her next time. We had a wonderful stay at the Village Nook! It was honestly the cleanest place I've ever stayed in. Mary showed us around when we arrived and gave us a few recommendations in the area. We took a few of her recommendations. Our favorite was the rail trail, literally just across the street. She also has a coffee maker and Kcups available, as well as many other amenities. I've stayed in places with no toilet paper or soap available, so this was way above that, and at such a great price. Be warned, the bed is super soft, so if you like a firm bed you might not get the best sleep. But you really can't complain in such a cozy space. I highly recommend stopping by!

The location is close to downtown Saranac Lake, very clean room and bathroom with many amenities provided. Plenty of parking, owners very pleasant. Only draw back is that the nearby traffic wakes you up by 9 am.

Thanks Gabriel for the review. Most people who choose to stay with us are here for the outdoor activities and are then glad to have a clean well cared for place to stay at night and at an affordable price. Also, the proximity, as you mention, of our location is great for an easy walk downtown via the new rail trail accessed from behind our house - soon to be completed with drainage and surfacing (34 miles long) - or take the sidewalk out front. The road is busy on the weekdays, quiets at night and on the weekends.

Our secret little get away spot
This is a great spot. Especially if you enjoy the outdoor experience. Tons of local trail, mountains, and waterways to explore. The Nook itself is a very clean and cozy place, we love it. This was our third time booking it and I’m sure it won’t be the last. Mary and Kevin are great and know all the best locations around town for what ever adventure you are looking for.

The Nook was a perfect spot for our anniversary retreat. The soaking tub and the bed were soooo comfortable. There were notes everywhere to help you navigate the (very generous) space and a binder of suggestions for local activities and food. Mary was welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed being walking distance to the village and being right on the new Rail Trail (in progress). Sunset at Lake Colby is a must!

A perfect respite for me this first visit, but I will return w/spouse and kayaks. Would love to do yoga classes here. Microwave and a coffee maker (thumbs up). Thankfully a wine bottle opener is provided and I really enjoyed the bathtub. oh! and a great mattress plus outlets and clothing hooks in all the right places.

Wonderful Stay!
We had such a wonderful stay at the nook! Mary and Kevin are such kind, welcoming, and gracious hosts. My partner and I stayed for 6 nights and really enjoyed the quiet, peaceful atmosphere which is so conveniently located three minutes from the downtown Saranac area and only about 15ish minutes from Lake Placid. This is the perfect place to rest at night after a day out adventuring in any of the many incredible hiking trails, skiing slopes, or ice skating spots. We absolutely recommend staying here for anyone who wants to explore the Adirondacks!
