Grumpy’s Lookout is a stylish and well-equipped one-bedroom condo located right on Long Lake near Birchwood, Wisconsin. Perfect for couples, families, or small groups, this condo offers modern comfort, lake views, and easy access to one of the best lakes in the region.
The queen bedroom is complemented by a high-quality pull-out couch in the living room and two high-end chairs that convert to single beds. This setup comfortably sleeps up to six guests. The unit features one clean and updated bathroom, a private deck with beautiful lake views, and high-speed Wi-Fi for remote work or streaming. As part of a condo development, guests have dock space for one boat up to 20 feet in length.
Long Lake is over 19 miles long, reaches depths of up to 70 feet, and is known as the Walleye Capital of Wisconsin. It offers 99 miles of shoreline to explore, much of it undeveloped and scenic. Spend your days fishing, boating to one of the six boat-up restaurants and bars, or hanging out at one of the lake’s well-known sandbars, where people relax in knee-deep water and soak up the sun. There are also multiple marinas nearby offering gas, bait, and supplies. The Birchwood area is home to some of the best ATV and snowmobile trail systems in the region, with hundreds of miles of interconnected routes accessible from this location.
In under 30 minutes, you can visit the communities of Rice Lake, Birchwood, Spooner, Hayward, and Shell Lake. Each town offers unique shopping, restaurants, grocery stores, and entertainment like theaters, bowling alleys, and roller rinks.
A Note About Dogs:
We love dogs and want our guests to enjoy their vacation with the whole family, including the furry members. Up to two dogs are allowed at this cabin with prior approval, and an additional fee applies. That said, please be mindful of whether this property is a good fit for your dogs. If your dog barks excessively, chews on furniture, roams unsupervised (there is no fenced yard), or has accidents indoors, this may not be the best rental for your stay. Dogs must be supervised while at the property and crated when you are not home. Please clean up after your pets. Our cleaning team does not handle pet waste.
