A fantastically well-equipped villa in a stunning area

12 of us enjoyed the most wonderful week. The villa had everything you could possibly need for fun and relaxation. The scenery was beautiful and the local restaurants, supermarkets and vineyards were outstandingly good value.

Absolutely perfect - dreamy!

We loved our stay at this beautiful home and property, as well as getting to know Craig and the great region. While having a wonderful, quiet and private country stay, there are amazing restaurants and all services within close range. The house is wonderfully equipped and decorated and the yard/pool is great. We would all plan to come back again. Thanks Craig!

A perfect stay

This is the perfect house for a family reunion or for a group of friends to come together. Plenty of sleeping rooms and plenty of space to find a quiet spot. Also great is that most of the rooms are having their own bathroom. On top of that the house has a swimming pool and a large garden to take a stroll. The house is well equipped, with a fully functioning kitchen and plenty of pots and pans to cook. A huge barbecue is available in case you want have a go with that. We really enjoyed the house and quiet surroundings, certainly a place to get together.

Great place for a big family holiday - very attentive host/property manager

A lovely property with a great pool - ideal for a big group with kids. Even before finalising our booking Craig was extremely quick to respond to queries and provided loads of info. This level of attentiveness continued throughout our stay when we asked for more recommendations and help. The property is located in quiet countryside and was easy to find. You will almost certainly want a hire car to get there and to go out and about. The kitchen is amazingly well stocked with glasses, utensils, crockery, coffee machine and ice machine so it is great for preparing nice meals in the evening. Thanks Craig and JP for being brilliant hosts and for all your help!

Une maison idéale pour des retrouvailles entre amis loin du tumulte citadin

C'est une belle maison, avec beaucoup d'ame et de charme. Elle est très spacieuse et dispose de nombreuses chambres et salles de bain afin de préserver l'intimité de chacun. Le jardin est très agréable et la piscine très grande, idéale pour des Olympiades entre amis ;). La maison est au calme, un peu loin de l'océan mais jouable pour un aller-retour à Capbreton ou Hossegor dans la journée. Craig à été très disponible et réactif à nos questions dès la réservation et nous a accueilli comme des amis. Merci à lui pour sa gentillesse !

Absolutely Stunning

We stayed at Tafiart for 10 days during July/August 2020, for a family holiday of 13. What can I say, the place is beautiful. We all had loads of space in the house and the gardens. The kitchen had everything we needed, we also used the BBQ which was great. The house has separate sitting areas and the bedrooms are spacious. The pool was excellent and everybody enjoyed a dip and the pool area had loungers and chairs. I have to say it was the best holiday I’ve ever had, we loved every second.

Wonderful relaxing holiday in superb house and gardens.

Having looked at the photos and read other reviews, we knew that we were going to stay somewhere very special, and we were not disappointed. It was well suited for our group, age range from 14 - 65 yrs from 4 families. The bedrooms felt spacious and private, and there were plenty of larger areas where we could all spend time together. We made good use of the pool and had most meals outside on the terrace. We very much enjoyed being in the wonderfully cosy TV room with its jewel like colours one evening during a thunder storm as we watched amazing forked lightning out of the window. Sue gave us a good welcome and was very helpful - (especially when we needed to make an urgent appointment for our dog with a local vet!). We would love to return here and highly recommend Tafiart.

Beautiful property with excellent facilities

Had a brilliant stay the property is massive with all the facilities you could need the only downfall is the wifi is limited due to the remoteness but not a problem if you have data and are aware of it. A car is a must we went as a family of 10 but felt no need to go anywhere, there is a supermarket 15 mins away which has everything you need. Sue, the housekeeper is so helpful, friendly and could not have been better we arrived to food and had even thought of our 5 year old grandson with fruit shoots and a toy !! If you want to go away to chill and have plenty of room with a good size pool this is the place, would definitely consider returning. Great stay thanks

Fantastic, stunning house in great location

We had an amazing four days here in June. Even though the photos are WOW, the reality is even better: this is a stylish, ultra-comfortable, luxurious large house with a brilliant pool and jaw-dropping garden. It feels as if you are staying at a friend's gorgeous house. Everything is superb - and we really appreciated Sue the housekeeper for her welcome (bread, cheese and wine), help and tips. We relaxed the minute we arrived and it was very, very hard to leave. A special house in a great location for exploring the local villages, markets and vineyards.

Très belle maison et propriétaires accueillants et très disponibles

Nous sommes allés dans la maison de Craig au cours d'un week-end. La maison est décorée avec goût et impeccable, elle offre un confort remarquable avec ses nombreuses cabres et salles de bain. Nous avons été très bien accueillis par Susan. Les propriétaires sont très arrangeants et disponibles. Nous avons pu profiter de la piscine et du jardin, le lieux est idéal pour se ressourcer ! Seul problème: le réseau wi-fi ne fonctionne pas très bien. Merci encore à eux!

La maison est très agréable et nous avons été accueillis très chaleureusement.

Nous avons pris la maison pour une semaine après un groupe de 14 personnes donc lorsque nous sommes arrivés il n'y avait aucune connexion internet et la piscine était vraiment très sale. Malgré nos multiples demandes, nous avons dû attendre le 4ème jours pour avoir une connexion internet et qu'une personne vienne s'occuper de la piscine. Nous n'avons pu nous baigner seulement le 5eme jours à cause des produits utilisés pour laver la piscine. Des produits si puissants que mes enfants ont des séquelles au visage. Nous avons malgré tout passer une semaine agréable mais le prix de la location est bien trop cher pour le service donné.

Beautiful and relaxed stay

We just returned home from a gorgeous stay at Tarfait. 14 of us went to celebrate my 30th birthday and it could not have been better. The farmhouse is simply stunning and the photos don't do it justice. Everything we could possibly need was thought of and accommodated for. Literally a home from home (only better). Every room was beautifully decorated and furnished with home comforts. Craig has fantastic taste, from the unique art on the walls and ornaments in cabinets right down to the gorgeous bedding. Really well stocked kitchen and pantry with everything we needed to make some great meals. Pool and garden was where we spent most of our time and it was perfect, beautiful lawn and gorgeous flowers and a perfectly maintained pool. Car is required to get around but everything is pretty easy to get to with a local supermarket and bakery just a five minute drive. Lovely bike riding routes too and a great local restaurant 'Minvielle' - food there was fantastic and great value. We will all return again and might make it a yearly tradition as we had such a fantastic and relaxed time. Can't recommend highly enough. Thanks for a great stay Craig and Julie Ann, hope to see you soon.

Fabulously stylish, comfortable and relaxing

What a beautiful property, in a gorgeous spot. When we visited in July 2015 the surrounding fields were full of sunflowers - a sight I've always wanted to see. Some holiday homes you go to feel a bit unloved but this one is the opposite. Every little detail has been taken care of, meaning you get a holiday in somewhere that feels just like home. Can't wait to return.

Fantastic Home from Home

We had a truly wonderful holiday here in August 2014 even though the weather was not great. The house is full of character and very welcoming; you feel more like you are staying at a friends house than a rental property. We were a large family party from 8 years to 85 years old and not sure how many would actually turn up (typical twenty year olds) but Craig was very relaxed that we were going to utilise every bed available and made sure we had plenty of bedding, towels, space, supplies etc which made you feel that nothing was held back in helping you to have a good time. Highly recommend.

Home from home but WAY more relaxed

We had a fantastic time at Craig's house which is very comfortable and stylishly decorated, but not so much so that we couldn't relax in case of damaging anything! It has a very personal touch and every effort is made to make you feel at home. It is much more of a home than a holiday let which was perfect for our large family group from 8-88 years old.

Great moment !

The house is beautiful, warm and beautiful garden. The room was beautifully decorated simply, it feels like home. Craig is an attentive host, jovial and friendly. And what about breakfast if not we would have taken in a table was so pretty and delicious meal. When we left we all feel from a friend's house. we had a great time and are already thinking about returning. We recommend to all!

Proper France!

A beautiful villa in a peaceful and tranquil location just outside the centre of pau and walking distance from amenities Ideal for families looking for a relaxing break 'off the beaten track' but within driving distance to explore pau or ski the Pyrenees mountains! Highly recommended!!

Sun, tranquility and rustic charm

I stayed here with friends for a long weekend and had such a great stay. The farmhouse is absolutely beautiful with all the charm of a rustic farmhouse, but a little taste of luxury. The weather was beautiful and we spent most of our time relaxing in the garden, playing boules, croquet, cooling off in the outdoor pool and enjoying gin and tonics... The grounds are very pretty, without lots of space to enjoy in the privacy of walled garden. The surrounding area is agricultural, which makes it great for going on walks through the cornfields and is very peaceful. There are a few villages a short drive away which means it’s easy to stock up on provisions, and also to experience some great local French food. Or if you want to travel a little further afield I recommend a drive to Pau, a historical city with beautiful classical architecture and many fantastic restaurants. If you’re looking for a place to relax with friends or family, and enjoy rustic South West France, I couldn't recommend anywhere better. It was an absolute delight to stay here, and I hope to visit again very soon.
