Perfect Weekend Getaway
I rented Big Sky for the weekend to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday. This place was everything I could have asked for and more. Myra and Jerry were very accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed. The place itself was very charming and the views were as incredible as they described. It was an overall awesome experience, and I’m very thankful we rented Big Sky!

Big Sky
We decided to do a golf outing for 2 days and stayed in the area at Big Sky. We frequented the Palenville area. We ate at Griffin House. Highly recommend. Also, Log Cabin Cafe in Purling for breakfast was great. We visited Main Street area of Saugerties the last night. Wished we investigated it more. A very nice stay.

Great spot for a get-away
My family of 4 stayed here in August of 2023. It was a pleasant stay, and the furnishings were perfect for my small family. Everything was clean and tidy upon arrival, the screen porch was nice to unwind on after a long day of sightseeing, and the views are breathtaking. Highly recommended, we'll be back!

Peaceful getaway
We were in the area for an art show and wanted to stay near Woodstock. This place was a peaceful spot in a great location for us. Enjoyed morning coffee in the screened in porch listening to the birds. Everything was clean and well kept.

Nothing makes us happier than a satisfied guest Do come again in another season .in the fall. The leaves are spectacular in the winter. The snow falling is quite magical and of course, in the spring when the birds return and the flowers start blooming, stay well.

Saugerties Sojourn
Very nice accommodation; just as described. Quiet, secluded, private, lots of room and great views. We had everything we needed. Our hosts, Myra and Jerry, greeted us upon our arrival, and they provided lots of information about the area. We went to the laundromat in Woodstock. It was a nice, clean facility with rapid-speed machines.

I had an excellent week at Big Sky. I was able to enjoy many hikes and bike trips in the morning hours, returning to enjoy the peace and quiet while it rained in the afternoons. Excellent hosts and clear communication. Thank you!

Perfect spot for serenity and nature!
Myra and Jerry were excellent hosts. Supportive, but also gave us all the privacy we were hoping for. Their home and Saugerties/the general area is perfect for slowing down, getting some fresh air and taking in the beauty of Mother Nature. We highly recommend checking out Kaaterskill Falls and Selena’s Diner! And we hope to be back for the views again someday :)

Beautiful view!
We came to the Catskills for a family reunion and needed a place to stay. Myra‘s place was so much better than a hotel. It was clean, comfortable and had a great kitchen. The bonus was the screened in porch and the view, of course. Our favorite part was morning coffee on the porch. Myra and Jerry were a great hosts and provided us all the information we needed. The place is close to hiking in Woodstock and Kingston. We visited both towns and enjoyed them. Myra even took the time to mail my computer to me which I accidentally left behind! Nothing better than good people and a comfortable space to rest your head.

Silent meditation retreat
The energy of the property is amazing. The view from the back yard is beautiful and I could hear running water down in the ravine that I couldn’t see ( due to all the vegetation). Myra and Gerry were kind and responsive hosts. The unit is a walk out basement underneath a large deck so it is very dark inside (a deck also extends over the screened in porch). I ate in the whole week I stayed so I missed having a lid for the one large pot ( I used the large frying pan as a lid to help get water to boil for pasta) and the right rear burner doesn’t work but that did not inconvenience me.. they had to have emergency work done on there deck during two of the days I was there..!The property is only a 10-15!minute drive to Pratt nature reserve, so is some nice walking there but otherwise have to walk along the road which is not that busy but still cats are driving fast

Incredible sunrise and views
A lovely spot for a quick getaway for some hiking and sightseeing in late autumn. So quiet and peaceful, yet centrally located to so many possible excursions of all different sorts, from hiking to shopping to some lovely restaurants . Autumn was a particularly spectacular time to visit this property! Myra and Jerry your hosts are lovely and knowledgeable of the area and very willing to share that knowledge. Wonderful Getaway Spot in NY
My girlfriend and I had an incredible time at Big Sky. The morning view from the property is an absolutely breathtaking experience. We found the apartment to be very comfortable and relaxing; a great homebase for our excursions around the surrounding area. Myra, as well as all the locals for that matter, were incredibly kind and gracious. We loved our stay and would happily return.

Porch with a beautiful view!
Great place for 2 for a few days. Photos do not do the screened in porch justice! What a view! A few minute’s drive to Woodstock and close drives to great hiking areas like north south lake, kaaterskill falls, and hunter. Lucky to be there as leaves are starting to change.

"Big Sky"
My wife and I just finished a two month stay at "Big Sky." Our time there was idyllic. The house is located approximately half way between Woodstock and Saugerties, a short ride to either. The property is perfectly situated for exploring the entire Catskill region as well as crossing the Hudson to explore beautiful Dutchess County. The lodging is extremely comfortable and spacious. There is a large great room with entrance, living room, dining room, and kitchen. The bedroom and bathroom are off the great room. There is also a screened patio with a spectacular view. Our hosts, Myra and Jerry, were extremely welcoming and a wealth of information about the area having lived there much of their lives. They started as our hosts and we now consider them friends. Highest recommendations for "Big Sky"

Lovely Little Slice of the Mountainside
We had a wonderful weekend at the property. The view is so beautiful and the apartment is very clean and spacious. The screened in porch was the perfect place to relax and take in the views and fresh mountain air without any pesky bugs bussing around. We had all the comforts of home and were very happy with our stay. Excellent communication from the host Myra - we couldn’t ask for anything more and can’t wait to go back!

Wonderful Mountain Escape!
We had the best time at this little mountain oasis. Even though it had been rainy during our stay, the apartment boasts beautiful views and is super cozy! We didn't get to enjoy the enclosed porch since it was chilly and rainy, but I imagine it's a perfect place to enjoy a coffee in the morning! Myra was great at communicating with me about check-in and coordinating our arrival. The house/apartment is secluded, yet super close to hiking, Woodstock, and area attractions. Would definitely stay here again!

We really enjoyed our 17 day stay. The views were amazing and the unit has all of the amenities and decor for a great visit. We were able to work from home and enjoy some spectacular winter hikes. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. We would love to visit in a different season.

Wonderful remote safe wilderness retreat
My wife and I decided to get away from it all and go to have a little second honeymoon.we wanted to have a little cabin but boy this was even better! it had all the accommodations you could ask for. we didn’t mind cooking in the Lovely kitchen. It was great waking up every morning to see the sunrise over a vast mountain SKY range. Sun rise was spectacular at this location and can be viewed in both master bedroom and main living room / kitchenette. Myra and her wonderful husband did everything they could to keep us happy and answered all our questions. We enjoyed listening to the morning sounds of the rustling stream below our cozy apartment. It was just spectacular. It reminded me of a little cabin in Montana. the property was immaculate. We can’t wait to go again. Very centrally located so that you can go a little day trips and small hikes and still make it back in time before dark (in late November - daylight savings time) to prep a wonderfully cooked meal. overall a 110% experience.!

Serene and gorgeous
We loved staying here for the week of work from home! Myra and Jerry were always available to answer questions, we enjoyed the beautiful sunrises and sitting out in the porch and enjoying the view! Would love to go back and stay again! It’s super close to a few towns to do lots of things- we loved walking around Woodstock and saugerties area and checking our cute shops there! Yet the house is located in a very quiet neighbourhood.

Big Sky Property - Serene with spectacular view!
We came to hike and enjoy Mother Nature and the fall colors and it was the perfect getaway. The property is exactly as described and shown in the pictures - clean, comfortable and spacious. Exactly What We Wanted!
The property was exactly as we were promised - clean, comfortable, easy access, and amazing views. The place is just as close to Woodstock as it is to Saugerties, which makes all activities super accessible. You will probably not find a listing with a better view than this one, so jump on it - we spent many hours utilizing the screened in porch while watching the sunset, and the sunrise is even better. Highly recommended.

Great Mountain Apt with View 10 min from Woodstock
Awesome place with amazing view. My wife and I set up here for a month of WFH - fast internet, spacious apartment for 2 people to set up desks. Comfy bed. Centrally located. Perfect for our needs
The place was perfect for our family get-a-way needs. The most important thing was the owners were very responsive to any concerns or issues, and did their best to make any logistics as efficient as possible. The property itself was spotless clean upon arrival, and my 4 year old daughter really appreciated the screened in patio to play in.

The setting is spectacular. In the woods, at the foot of the mountain, with a cliff-edge view to die for. Yet only 15 minutes from Saugerties, with its cafes, history, and ambience. The Place is a lower level of a house, so a few easy steps are needed to get down to the door. There is a decent size living room and kitchenette, with bedroom and nice bathroom. There is an outdoor screened in sitting area with comfortable seating. We found the price quite reasonable for what you get.

Beautiful comfortable place. The owners are very responsive to anything you might need. The view is spectacular on the top of the mountain. All amenities are provided. you do have to be able to drive winding dark country roads at night. The location is equidistant to Saugerties and Woodstock and lovely country roads to Kingston only 8 miles away. There is so much to do in the area. Spectacular views and hiking trails for all levels. Many great restaurants. All in all a wonderful vacation. Area.

The property was beautiful with scenic views and a cozy interior.
Our stay at this property was wonderful! Even though we had a great deal of snow, the snow made the views from the property even more beautiful! The interior was cozy with a working kitchen, comfy bed, and a nice couch and TV. Myra was also a wonderful host, making sure we got to the property ok, and periodically checking in to ensure everything was to our liking and we were having a nice time. We will definitely stay here again in the future. HIGHLY recommend!!!

An amazing getaway located on the edge of a cliff, overlooking the beautiful Catskill Mountains.
Myra greeted us with a soper friendly disposition, and had waiting for us, a clean and perfectly equipped apartment, Everything you could think of, is provided in a neat and clean condition. The property itself, is truly special, as it offers a quiet, scenic escape perfect for getting away from the busy, noisy NYC life. The crisp mountain air feels like a cool drink of water, with every breath taken. The neighboring towns of Woodstock, and Saugerties, offer great restaurants, and unique shopping opportunities, all within 10 minutes drive. So nice of Myra to offer such a special place to anyone looking for a retreat. My wife and I are looking forward to visiting again.

In the fall the valley is ablaze with color ,in winter you can see for miles with a white blanket ,the spring brings buds and birds and the summer is tranquil green and our beautiful gardens. Great apartment with fantastic views
Very nice apartment with great views (the property title (50 mile view) is accurate) on a beautiful piece of property . The apartment is very private an comfortable. Convienetly located - about 5+ minutes to Woodstock and close to Saugerties. Would definitely recommend. .

Perfect getaway!
We loved staying at the BigSky. It was beautiful, very cozy and had every amenity that one would require for a weekend getaway. It's also very close to Woodstock downtown and various trail heads. Highly recommended!
