"8 of us stayed at the Chateau for one week. It is a lovely location, with a short drive to Saumur. The house and gardens are lovely, with a homely feel (you feel like you are staying in someone's home - we loved it). The views from the terrace are fantastic. The house is well equipped, with everything we needed in the kitchen, plus a barbecue. There was plenty of space for us all. The host Julie was lovely - she contacted me well before we arrived, and then was in regular communication...

Hôtel Anne d'Anjou,The Originals Collection

"Anne D’Anjou was a joy of a hotel. The place looks over the Loire River and is really a few minutes walk into the old city and restaurants. But it was the charm of the hotel itself that wowed us. A backyard terrace, lovely breakfast rooms, a comfortable sitting room and wonderful staff. They couldn’t be more accommdating and willing to do whatever we needed to make our stay more pleasant. We loved the place!"

"A spectacular chateau with the most amazing view over the river. Staff were wonderful and the food delicious. Would highly recommend a visit. The weather was extremely hot and without air conditioning the night was uncomfortable despite a fan in the room. Maybe some portable coolers would help. Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay in every way. Thank you."

"Ideally suited for visiting the town. Hotel was next door to a small Carrefour which is where you can park for 9euros a night. Plenty of restaurants, cafes,bars, interesting shops and river front, were just 2 minutes walk away. We didnt stay long enough to use the spa. The only downside was the Aircon was limited to 21c minimum which wasn't cold enough for me to sleep well. Otherwise no complaints."
