索瓦贝兰

In 1841, the banker Charles-Juste Bugnion bought the land called The Hermitage, on a hill overlooking Lausanne. He had a family mansion built and the magnificent park landscaped with rare species of trees. The villa, with part of the park, was given to the City of Lausanne by the descendants in 1976. The mansion has been carefully restored to its original splendour and has become my favorite museum of fine arts!

The tower of the Sauvabelin park is overlooking the city of Lausanne. A little 5 minutes stroll in the forest brings you to the tower. Going up to the top brings you at 700m above sea level (or 328m above the Léman level), and you are about 4m higher than if you were at the top of the Eiffel Tower. The view over the city, the lake and the Alps is splendid!

Art museum in a mansion from the 1850s. Its location on a small hill overlooking downtown Lausanne and Lake Geneva makes it one of the best viewpoints in the area. And, then there's this beautiful staircase ... #architecture
