Bright & Spacious Downtown Loft, Walk Everywhere by Lucky Savannah

Located in the heart of downtown Savannah, Southern Market is your updated, spacious alternative to the typical historic home. Guests will enjoy walking just a few steps to Savannah's best attractions, dining, and shopping!

Enter off Montgomery and up the full flight of stairs to your modern loft amongst the oak trees. A daybed can be found in the hall, leading to your coastal-cozy living space. There's plenty of comfortably seating for everyone to catch up and unwind after a long day of exploring. Just off of the living room, you'll find a spacious kitchen with every appliance needed for cooking a full meal. Choose to dine at the breakfast nook, or enjoy a meal al fresco on the private balcony overlooking downtown.

All three bedrooms are also on this level, with the first being the master with King size bed. Enjoy large closets, flat screen TVs, and en suite baths in every room. The primary bedroom is especially spacious and boasts beautiful views of downtown. The full bath is en suite with Jack and Jill doors to the hall. A daybed is also available in the main hall to allow guests more space.

The second bedroom has a Queen size bed. The en suite bath has a tub/shower combination. Down the hall you'll find the final bedroom with a twin and trundle bed. This room is loft-like as a short stairwell leads guests to the laundry room. The twin and trundle bed is connected to a full bath with a tub/shower combination.

Southern Market is right on Montgomery Street, which leads North to city attractions such as Ellis Square at City Market, Broughton Street, and of course River Street. Some of the city's most sought-after restaurants and bars are only a short walking distance away. This home is ideal for those who want a quiet respite without being too far from all the action!

Great for Families

This property in the south historic district can accommodate larger families. It’s within easy walking distance to many popular attractions. Communication with the property manager (Lucky Savannah) was excellent. We would definitely stay here again

Wonderful stay!

Beautifully decorated and every room was comfortable. Nice central location on a generally quiet part of the street (hard to find, I know, as I’ve lived in Savannah before…). I biked or walked everywhere I wanted to go from river street to Forsyth. The apartment is on the second floor, so something to keep in mind for people who struggle with stairs, but it lent to some lovely porch views. The AC was not working properly when we arrived, but the company answered right away on a late Saturday afternoon, and got someone out immediately who didn’t leave until he was sure it was working. Note to owners/management— may not want to keep the unit off when it is unoccupied in summer months. Numerous drawers and cabinets where stuck shut from material melting together, and it was quite hot trying to unload baggage. Overall we had an amazing time, and were so comfortable in the space!

We enjoyed the area, the sites & the food! The unit itself seemed like the floors had not been moped/cleaned before our arrival. Limited supply of paper products considering we had six guests staying five days. That said, we did come across Lucky Savannah's office & was able to have extra supplies dropped off at our location. Office staff was very nice & accommodating. Very nice place to stay & I would definitely recommend this unit & area.

Loved it!

This is a wonderful property. Rooms are beautifully appointed and decorated. The kitchen had everything we needed. Extremely convenient location. Very walkable to the historic district restaurants and sites. We never had trouble finding a parking space within a few feet of the front door. Our group was four older women. We enjoyed the comfy couches as we all settled in for winter night's reading. It was incredibly clean. We would be happy staying here again. Thank you!

Beautiful loft within walking distance to everything!

The loft was so beautiful, spacious and clean There was plenty of room for all 7 of us - we are a group of longtime girlfriends celebrating milestone birthdays! The outside porch was nice to have morning coffee, or a glass of wine in the evening. We could walk for brunch, shops, tours, dinner, it was wonderful! We all would highly recommend to other friends or family traveling to Savannah!

Great cute location, very spacious

We loved our stay here. We walked everywhere! It’s about a 20 min walk from River street. Never felt unsafe about the area. Very spacious and 3 bathrooms is a huge plus for bigger groups! If you’re sensitive to noise, be aware that the exit ramp from the interstate is right behind it so can be noisy at times but wasn’t a huge issue for us. There’s no assigned parking but there was plenty of street parking available. Would stay here again!

Weekend wedding getaway with friends.

Visited Savannah for our friend’s son’s wedding. This centralized location provided us with the opportunity to explore Historic Downtown Savannah (most everything was walking distance) and still be close to the wedding venue. Enjoyed our stay!

Disappointing

This property was just okay. One of the showers didn’t work, and 2 of the 4 tvs didn’t work. The master bath was lacking major in storage. A pedal stool sink with no countertop to hold toiletries was problematic when traveling with a group of girls. On a positive note, the beds were very comfortable.

Our family of 6 enjoyed this property so much! It was close to several museums as well as great food. The highway off ramp way a bit loud at times, but overall it was a great stay.

Not very clean!

This rental could have used a good cleaning. The outside of the trash can was dirty. There was a sock under our bed, and a comb under our rug. The sheets to our bed didn’t fit, therefore kept slipping down. The couch had stains all over it. The shower curtain had also fallen down in the bathtub when we had gotten there. I know these are little things..but still.

Not worth it.

While the building and loft looks nice there was a lot of things that need to be addressed. The cleanliness of the loft being the biggest issue. There was sand all over the floors. We had to sweep the entire loft just to be able to walk barefoot around the apartment. When we got into the beds the Queen size room and the Trundle bed room both had sand in the sheets and the Master bedroom sheets had blood on them. The Queen room tub was dirty and didn't drain properly. I also was bit by a spider during the night on Saturday then Sunday night we woke up to a roach crawling around in the bed with us. The Queen mattress also has a large dip in the middle so if 2 people are in the bed you roll onto each other. TV's in the Master and the Trundle room did not work. We found socks, hair clips and a plate under beds and in the living room furniture. Unless I missed it in the description, It doesn't say that you are right on top of the HWY so all the traffic is very loud and the lights shine into your bedrooms. They could benefit from dark curtains. Tried to reach out to Management and left 2 messages and I haven't received a call back yet.

Great place! Great location!

The location is walkable to everything including River Walk and most of SCAD (5-15 min). The apartment itself is quite large and the bedrooms are spacious and very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need. Living room was super comfy. Parking is alright. It’s street parking so you will need to pay attention to the signs. Sometimes a little hard to find parking but wasn’t too bad. Only issue - the bathroom that shares the main hallway and one of the bedrooms (the one without the tub) did not have hot water. The water in the shower and the sink would not go past lukewarm. Glad there were other showers with hot water. They will hopefully fix that before their next guest. Other than that, it was perfect!!!

Great quiet location

This was a great stay for our friends’ trip. The property was clean and conveniently located on a quiet street at the edge of the historic district. Host was responsive and helpful. Everything ran smoothly. We would love to stay here again.
