This is the right side of the Dueling Sisters Inn, once the home of Mildred — the quieter, sterner of the two infamous twin sisters who gave this home its name, and its spirit.
The home was originally built by their father, a respected Savannah judge, who wanted to give his daughters matching townhouses so neither would feel favored. It didn’t work. Mildred, the elder by just a few minutes, took this upper flat as her sanctuary. She was proud, precise, and sharp-eyed, known for her perfect biscuits, pressed linens, and the way she could silence a room with a single glance over her teacup. Her sister Myrle, who lived next door, preferred late-night porch parties and scandal. Their love for each other was real — but so was the competition.
Today, this home still carries that quiet elegance. The apartment features two queen bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a bright living room, and a well-equipped kitchen perfect for cooking in or reheating leftovers from Savannah’s finest restaurants. There are two private porches — one in the front for people-watching over morning coffee, and one in the back for unwinding at sunset.
