"Such a cute little cottage. It was so comfortable and homie. I was so glad to stay here after a hostel in the city. It was peaceful and well equipped. "We first visited the Salutation Hotel 29 years ago as a wedding venue and it was a premium location then. Getting the opportunity to stay there again now, we were excited to see it again. Unfortunately, it isn’t what it once was, although it was eerily familiar as little has been done to maintain or upgrade it over that time it seemed. However, there were redeeming features apart from the trip down memory lane. These included a very good hot breakfast, with an excellent manager (female) running the process, a reasonably well stocked bar with hotel prices although not too exorbitant. Easy check in and out, and finally a good location. Let down by overall condition of the hotel, especially what was supposed to be a superior twin room. "
