"Very nice place. If you like the antique look, you'll love this place. I liked that the living room could be converted into another bedroom, since the bathroom is in the middle of the bedroom and the living room."
"Sunnyside is a gorgeous older property right on the lake. The room was comfortable, the shower fantastic (awesome water pressure), and the views spectacular. "

"I stayed at PlumpJack inn for a wedding I was attending down the road. I stayed for one night. My check in time was very close to the time that the wedding ceremony started, so I was a bit nervous that I was going to be scrambling and possibly late to the ceremony. I arrived in the late morning to PlumpJack and asked reception if there was any way I could check in earlier. They said they would call me if they were able to get another room made up/cleaned before my reservation check in. I was more than satisfied by the staffs' kindness and ability to make swaps/changes to get me into my room a bit earlier, on a weekend that was very busy for the hotel nonetheless. The staff was beyond kind, caring and accommodating to our needs. I will definitely be staying here again when I visit Olympic Village! "
"Stayed there between summer and ski season. Excellent value. Not particularly crowded. Easy drive to lakeside on the quieter north side. Staff helpful and friendly. At the foot of the ski runs literally at the base of the mountains. And on the edge of a great golf course.

"The most unforgettable part of staying here is the stunning natural beauty all around you. The mountains and green trees feel like a postcard come to life. A highlight was the Tram, just a 5–10 minute walk from the hotel, that takes you up to the historic Olympic station from the 1960 Winter Olympics. The scenery at the top is breathtaking, and the food there was delicious — definitely worth staying for lunch.
The village itself feels like a little slice of Europe. Everything you need is within walking distance: cozy cafés, pizza, gourmet dining with wine and views, ice cream for kids, souvenir shops, big sports brands, and even an Irish pub. You can simply take the elevator down from your fully furnished room with its own stunning view and step right into the heart of it all.
I visited in summer with my mom and daughter, and we loved every moment. The staff were wonderful, especially one young woman who was so friendly. They even upgraded our room when they learned it was my first vacation with my mom in years — such a kind gesture.
The only challenge was the very tall beds. For shorter guests or those with knee problems, climbing up can be difficult. Taller people will love them, but it’s something to keep in mind.
If you visit in summer, don’t miss kayaking or rafting in Truckee (10 minutes away) or Kings Beach (20 minutes). There are hidden gems everywhere. Overall, this hotel is a must-go — the perfect mix of nature, charm, and warm hospitality."
"The layout of the room is bedroom, door, bathroom, door, living room. This was an amazing layout for traveling with 2 young kiddos! We also loved the pool and spa, and were so thankful for the early morning and late night hrs ♡ The grounds are under construction so it looks a bit wonky, but its kept clean and organized. The hotel was so clean and comfortable, with a great small kirchen. The proximity to Palisades Village and the Shirley Canyon hike is perfect- we never used our car the whole trip :)"
"Our family spent a nice long weekend with comfort and enjoyed all the amenities that was included with our stay. We were 15 minutes away from Tahoe City and Commons Beach and 20 minutes away from Truckee/Donner Lake. It was also nice to walk about 5 minutes to Olympic Valley for lunch/dinner along with looking at shops. I would definitely come again. "
