"This was a lovely cozy house with great views of the ocean from the house and the hot tub, as well. The sofas are old and the springs from the cushions could be felt - so they could be replaced, but I'm concerned that to do so would motivate the owners to increase the price, which currently is relatively affordable. We placed some cushions that we have from home and the car and that was an adequate remedy. Other than a slight carpet stain by the master king sized bed, everything else was absolutely perfect and delightful. I would return here enthusiastically!"

"Abalone Point is a wonderful home for an extended family reunion. My large family, consisting of four siblings and our spouses, spent three nights here. We loved the spacious layout and great kitchen facilities. The beautifully decorated home features multiple indoor and outdoor spaces for spending time together, while allowing for separation when a bit of space apart is needed. The fourth bedroom in the Casita was great for the late-to-bed, late-to-rise couple. There are good local dining spots if you're not in Sea Ranch to cook, but we made good use of the excellent kitchen facilities every night. The Wi-Fi worked well and consistently throughout our stay. Although we took one side adventure to Fort Ross, we spent most of this trip walking the bluffs, hanging out on Shell Beach and at Gualala Point, playing games, and simply enjoying each other's company at the beautiful home. I personally loved the handmade octopi in the bedrooms. More adventurous travelers can explore the northern coast, kayak on the river, or head into the wine country. If you love Sea Ranch and want to share it with family and friends, Abalone Point is a great place to stay. "

"This was a perfect place to spend a few days in July! The weather was amazing and the walk along the bluff trail occupied most of our days. We saw so much wildlife! The house itself has beautiful architecture, spacious places to unwind and read/relax, and of course the hot tub. The beds were comfy with soft linens. About 4 minutes drive away there is Surf Market that supplies anything you could hope to cook. John was easy to communicate with and the check-in/check-out was well organized and easy to understand. We can’t wait to find a time to return!"

"For anyone who has stayed at Sea Ranch over the years, they know how in earlier times owners who rented their homes treated their guests like, well guests. Well appointed kitches with fresh spices & all the right stuff, super clean and organized and welcoming. This was that kind of place. There were even robes in the closet. Wonderful. "

"There were three of us - myself, my granddaughter and her partner, along with my little Havanese pup. The house is spacious - we didn't even use the upstairs at all. The kitchen was stocked with necessities like salt/pepper/sugar, various herbs. We enjoyed the hot tub every day and loved seeing a doe and her fawn walk by in the evenings. We watched many birds in the tall trees and felt renewed after our two-night stay. We would definitely rent the house again."

"A thoroughly enjoyable stay in a very quiet neighborhood. I particularly loved being able to see the starry night sky and early-morning wildlife while lying in bed. Very well equipped kitchen with a filtered-water tap and abundant supplies of everything (except light bulbs). Put a Sea Ranch visitor pass on your dash and take Vantage Rd for easy coastal trail access. Only 4 miles to Gualala restaurants, groceries, and kayaking."
