“We booked this hotel last minute, and the availability may have been an indicator of what to expect. Check-in was quick and easy, which was appreciated. Upon arrival, the parking lot and exterior appearance were somewhat concerning, as the area looked a bit run-down and parking seemed unorganized. The walk from the front desk to the room was warm and stuffy, though the distance itself was not an issue. One concern was that our room door was unlocked when we arrived, which felt unsettling. “The room was filthy. There was chunks of mud on the floor. The shower had hair left in it. My son and I refused to walk around without shoes. There was a broken outlet right by the bed so we weren’t able to charge our phones. In the morning, starting at 9am we got knocks from housekeeping repeatedly until finally after the 4th occurrence I opened the door in my pajamas. Nothing was landscaped and the windows were unlocked.”
