Charming cottage in West Seattle

This adorable property will have you wishing to extend your stay. Off the beaten path, you are rewarded with updated furnishings and an expansive and welcoming fenced-in backyard, framed by a beautiful birch tree and towering pines. We felt at home immediately and appreciated the thoughtful touches provided by the owners—a well-stocked kitchen, plenty of towels, and the usual amenities you’d find in a hotel. This is the ultimate cottage core—perfect for solo travelers or couples seeking a private retreat. Cozy home

My family and I stayed in the home for approximately 2 weeks. The home had a beautiful yard. The kitchen was nice. The home met all of our basic needs. The neighbors were friendly and the home is close to a lot of shopping, grocery stores, a laundromat, and not too far from downtown. The only issue we had was that the bathroom door came off the hinges and was unable to be fixed until we checked out.

We could not stay.

Upon entering the home and batting off spiderwebs, the door to the bedroom fell off its hinge (bottom), causing a major safety issue. “Vacasa” was hosting us and never responded. There was duck tape on two door handles and mildewed butcher block counters and floors. Closets were not finished and had a urine smell. Very odd experience and have still yet to hear from Vacasa about this issues we had. We left and did not stay. I feel bad for the homeowner being represented by Vacasa. It’s brutal communication. The home has a lot of potential, the decor and vibe is great, just needs finishing/polishing.
