"El Rocio is a weird town. It looks and feels like the wild west. It's like being in a Cowboy film set. The town is extremely busy at the weekend and extremely quiet during the week. It's the ideal location to visit Donana National Park. The Hotel La Malvasia is upmarket and ideally placed on the lakefront. The staff are friendly and helpful."

"Friendly staff. Problem returning in evening after 10.30. front door locked. No clear entry instruction given in advance. No mobile link actually operating. . Nobody available online via hotels.com. . Lucky that cafe owner knew number of hotel owner. He cam out and let us in. Otherwise a miserable night would have been had. Utterly c Incompetent lack of communication or access to communication. Must be fixed."

"Charming old hotel in the heart of town"

"The house is spacious and has a fully equipped kitchen for self cooking. The owners are very friendly. The pool is beautiful. The only downside is the small bedrooms, especially the one with a bunk bed. The top bed doesn't have a safety feature, so no one wanted to sleep there. Eight people can sleep comfortably. Thanks, Ana and Manuel. It was a wonderful vacation."

"We arrived to find the front door locked and no one there. A key pad was beside the door. I had been sent a check in confirmation but it was in Spanish. This seemed to say that entry was to use the key pad numbers preceded by the room number....but we had no room number as we hadn't checked in! After many attempts we got the door to open. Next was to find a room. The reception was unattended and we had to search the hotel's paperwork to find that we expected and had been allocated rooms. We located keys and found our rooms - which were very nice and as expected. We saw no one until breakfast and when we checked out there was again no one there. In the end our stay was ok, but it was disconcerting to say the least."
