Schönes Ferienhaus in absolut ruhiger Lage am Golden Circle. Ausstattung, Komfort etc. Isländischer Standard. Im Ferienhaus selbt kein Wifi, problematisch wenn man wie wir im Winter dort ist, wenn der Gemeinschaftsbereich (Reception, Restaurant etc.) geschlossen ist, dann muss man auf mobiles Internet zurückgreifen

Cottage Close to Kerid Crater

Village complex located 10 mins drive from Kerid Crater, and 20 mins drive from town of Selfoss. All attractions on Golden Circle within 1 hour drive. Keflavik International airport 1.5 hours drive. Cottage can sleep up to 6 adults, with 1 double bed in separate room and 4 single beds. Full cooking facilities, with kettle and coffee maker. Hot tub and barbeque in private patio. TV have 2 local channels available, No WiFi but good mobile 4G connectivity. Restaurant facilities not available out of season, small supermarket 5 mins walk away (but not used).

Alone in the world...or at least it feels like it

Beautiful area, and delightful cottage. Went during the off season and had a bit of trouble getting into the park it's located at, a quick phone call was all it took to get me to a warm welcome. Peaceful and serene, we felt as if we were the only people in the world, everything is set up so that looking from your back deck you see lava fields and nothing else; if I didn't see it driving in I would have never known there was a cabin next to mine. The tv didn't work but we never felt the need to watch it. You do your own cleanup before leaving, but that takes just a few minutes. All in all we can't wait to go back to Iceland and would definitely stay at Hraunborgir Holiday Homes again.
