The house is beautiful, very clean and furnished with great attention to detail. The lovely grounds with the beautiful pool invite to relax. Stunning views

We really enjoyed our stay in selva at this beautiful villa. It had everything we needed; views, pool, outdoor and indoor eating areas. The kids loved the pool and we enjoyed coffee in the morning and wine in the evenings overlooking the beautiful vistas.

Just what was needed

This was a lovely villa on the edge of one of our favourite villages in Mallorca. A traditional finca with a super pool area and lush gardens. Everything one would need (shops, bars, restaurants and of course a bakery) in easy walking distance. It was very hot during our stay so the optional air con was a real boon. Largely a peaceful location although there was some noise from a nearby property being renovated during the day. But nothing too onerous. Monserrat the owner was welcoming and helpful and we will certainly book again when we next return to the area.

Beautiful setting, great location for outdoor recreation and private, yet on the edge of the village

The whole holiday was great from start to finish. The house is located on the edge of Selva, with great walking access to the local shops and restaurants. The house itself is as pictured. It has all the necessary kitchen equipment for a holiday house as well as a dishwasher and laundry facilities. We got the AC added but it is not necessary every night, the house is very cool and airy. You will never get tired of the view, and we spent many a night BBQing and just appreciating the silence enjoying a drink. There's plenty of room to entertain or just enjoy with your partner. During the day you are well located for hiking and biking, and its only 30 minutes drive to Palma or likewise the north coast, and you have the pool to come back to! The owners were very respectful of our privacy. We had the house for a month, and they would visit once a week to water the grounds and check the pool. We made use of the cleaner who was very reasonable and changed the linens and cleaned all the communal areas. We would defiantly recommend this property! Thank you.

Fantastic house

We spent 12 hot days in july in this lovely house on the edge of the village Selva. We were a family of 4 with 2 kids, aged 3 and 8 months. The house is fantastic, even better than in the images. Everything was super clean on arrival, and all nessesaties were there, including a solid selction of pots and pans. The pool is huge, and very well temperatured so that it is neither too hot or to cold, but perfect for cooling down and for playing. The view is spectacular, and even better than in the photos. The outdoor area in general is really nice with lots of flowers and plants. Other things that stood out: Super private, you are completely undisturbed and have total privacy. Yet you are just on the edge of town so you have a short 5 minute walk to the small supermarket in town. Very convenient. We loved that there were several different shaded areas, especially the area by the pool is brilliant, as it allows you to hang out in the shade but be close by the pool. A must in the summer when traveling with kids. The large seated area by the BBQ was cosy and great spot for family dinners. Lovely hosts that was welcoming on arrival and who was even accomodating when asked if a later check-out was possible. We very much hope to be back there in the next couple of years as this was a fantastic house to spend out holiday in.

Lots of space, great pool, peaceful setting.

We paid €1500 for last week and our family of four (2 adults and two teenagers) had a very, very relaxing time. The villa surrounds are incredibly spacious - separate large table to eat around by the huge BBQ, large pool with large covered area adjacent -essential refuge from the midday sun for our week- plenty of sun-loungers and chairs. Breakfasts were eaten on the covered veranda area in front of the main house with it's great views of the orchard and far away hills. Car hire is essential I think - It's about 35-40mins drive from the airport - you are handily located for the north eastern towns and beaches. Selva is a residential town -with a few bars and restaurants. We only ate out once there - At 'Forno' pizzas and Estella beer at €2 a large glass hit the spot well. As we were on the outskirts and surrounded 180degrees by farmland we felt very secluded and didn't feel like we were a bother to any of the locals. Monserrat and his wife were very welcoming and allowed us to host other friends who visited us during our stay. They were easy and available for contact - no doubt helped by our fluent Spanish speaking daughter. We were visited once for pool maintenance, which was totally appropriate. There is plenty of gear there for scooping out 'suicide wasps' and we were shown how to use the automatic pool cleaner which is a doddle. We were encouraged to use 'as much fruit from the orchard' as we wanted -which includes delicious figs, peaches, pears, oranges and lemons. The rooms were spacious - shame there's only 3 double rooms really for a villa this size. Look out in the showers the water pressure is phenomenal! :-) The kitchen facilities were totally adequate for our needs - we noted the new crockery. There was a half size dish washer - used once. Our daughter made some great 'home-grown' lemonade with the juicer as well! We didn't use the TV facilities at all. Make no mistake this is a fantastic place to rent and we are already talking about coming back. If we are going to be hyper-critical then -- We didn't like the bedding - as there's a plastic-type under-sheet, which in this heat makes you sweat A LOT(!) - For the price we would have liked some simple things provided e.g. more plastic bin sacks, basic cleaning stuff like dish cloths and seven dish washer tablets (only one supplied)?... Air conditioning is extra at €10/day - even during our week we only used it for one day. All in all a fantastic find. A Great stay.

Værtsparret Macu og Monserrat var venlige og imødekommende og gav os mange gode anbefalinger ved ankomsten. Huset var dejligt, hyggeligt og rent og ligger smukt med udsigt til bjergene og citronlunden, der hører til huset. Saltvandpoolen var fantastisk og der er skønne terrasser omkring huset - både overdækkede og til såvel sol som skygge. Haven blomster, buske og træer indrammer ligeledes huset på smukkeste vis. Der var sparsom arbejdsplads i køkkenet, - men det var velassorteret. Dog var der ikke meget service. Vigtigt at være opmæsksom på: Man skal selv medbringe krydderier, klude, poser, opvasketabs o.lign. Og så kom det bag på os, at vi skulle betale kontant for AC ved ankomst, da det ikke var tydeliggjort i annoncen.Alt i alt havde vi en dejlig ferie i huset og kan anbefale det.

Sehr gern wieder!!

Für uns war es traumhaft! Eine Unterkunft, wie wir sie uns wünschten!!! Sehr viele Sitzmöglichkeiten zur Auswahl, wenn denn die Sonne doch mal zu sehr prasselt. Die Lage, die Aussicht unbeschreiblich. Schon die Anfahrt zum Ort Selva von Palma...traumhaft. Zum Meer brauchten wir ein bisschen länger als angegeben, aber wir waren ja im Urlaub. Die Gastgeber waren toll! Bei unserer Ankunft war die Glaskanne der Kaffeemaschine kaputt...Monserrate brachte uns direkt am nächsten Tag eine neue Kaffeemaschine. Die Unterkunft ist wunderbar ursprünglich: Da gibt es diesen Hain, direkt am Haus, mit Zitronen, Orangen, Birnen, Pflaumen, Granatäpfeln. Und man kann sich bedienen, je nach Jahreszeit. Das "Mööööö" der Schafe des Nebengrundstücks sollte man wohl lieben...wir genossen es. Wie auch die Gegenwart der roten Katze, die uns jeden Abend besuchte und ihren Platz zwischen uns suchte ;-). Wir mochten das sehr. Der Pool ist perfekt...unser Kleiner, 6 Jahre, hat darin Schwimmen und Tauchen gelernt. Wir Erwachsene waren da aber auch sehr, sehr gern drin ;-). Klimaanlage muss man zusätzlich zahlen. Brauchten wir in unserem Zeitraum aber nicht. Achtung: Für eine kleine Familie ( 2 Erwachsene, 1 Kind 6 Jahre, das bei seinen Eltern schlafen möchte) sollte man die Zimmer/Bettenaufteilung beachten...klappt nicht so recht von den Maßen. Trotz allem: Unser Fazit: Sehr, sehr gern wieder!

Gartentraum

Die Gartenanlage des Hauses und der Blick auf die umliegenden Hügel war unschlagbar. Viele verschiedene Sitzplätze auf dem Gelände verteilt, so dass man immer den perfekten Platz gefunden hat. Pool auch für Schwimmer gut nutzbar (schätze ca. 10 Meter lang), also keine größere Badewanne. Einziger Wermutstropfen waren die Mücken, die den umliegenden Feldern mit Obstbäumen geschuldet waren (heißt für empfindliche Menschen Mückenschutz !). Selva ist ein hübsches Dorf auf Mallorca, vor Ort einige gute Restaurants. Durch die zentrale Lage guter Ausgangspunkt zu fast jedem Ort der Insel. Vermieter äußerst nett und jederzeit ansprechbar.

Skønt ophold

Dejligt hus med flot udsigt. Rolig og ugeneret landlig beliggenhed i udkanten af Selva, hvor der findes flere rigtig gode spisesteder. Der findes også bager og lille supermarked. Inca med gode indkøbsmuligheder ligger kun 6 km væk Vi nød det dejlige ude område med pool og grillsted. Området er perfekt udgangspunkt for cykel og vandreture. Værtsparret var meget imødekommende og hjælpsomme.

Herlliche Feriën gehabt

Sehr nettes haus. Wie originale Häuser in Mallorca sind, etwas dunkel, aber super sauber. Ruhige Lage am Rande eines netten Dorfes. Der Pool ist herlich und suaber. Der Empfang war ganz höflich und man darf die Früchte aus dem grosen Garten pflücken (Zitronen, Figen und Oliven) Wir möchten bestimmt zurück keren.

Traumhaft/Gorgeous

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit in der Finca, die Lage ist IDEAL. Im Ort, fußläufig zum Bäcker/Supermarkt/Restaurants (unser Favorit Es Forn Cafè) aber trotzdem mit unverbautem Blick über Zitronen-/Olivenhaine, Berge, Landschaft. Die Bilder spiegeln nicht wider, wie schön es wirklich ist. Der Außenbereich mit Pool, Terrassen, Tischtennis, Barbecue ist großartig. Die Finca ist von innen sehr schön eingerichtet, es gibt 3 Schlafzimmer und 2 Bäder - alles tiptop und sauber. Klimaanlage in allen Schlafräumen - haben wir allerdings nicht gebraucht. Wifi funktioniert gut. Montserrate und seine Familie haben uns in der Finca empfangen und alles gezeigt, sie sind sehr herzlich. Die Kommunikation im Vorfeld war völlig problemlos. Während unseres Aufenthalts haben wir über WhatsApp kommuniziert, es gab kein einziges Problem. Sie haben uns auch diverse Tipps für Strände/Restaurants etc. gegeben. Selva als Standort ist ideal - gut erreichbar von Palma und gleichzeitig am Rand der Tramuntana. Strände ca. 30 min entfernt (wir haben allerdings meistens die Finca mit Pool genossen). Mietwagen empfehlenswert. Wir waren schon mehrfach auf Mallorca in einer Finca mit Pool, dieses ist der beste Standort bisher - wir kommen bestimmt wieder. Dear Monserrate and family, thanks again for your warm welcoming, we had a great time in your finca, it was gorgeous, we enjoyed it very much and will definitely come back. We highly recommend it :-)

Ruhige Finca mit schönem Blick über das Land

Die Finca liegt sehr ruhig am Rande von Selva auf einem großen Grundstück mit vielen Zitronenbäumen. Man kann sich hier sowohl in der Sonne als auch im Schatten am Pool mit herrlichem Blick über das Land sehr gut erholen. Selva ist ein sehr guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge, insbesondere für Wanderer und Radfahrer. Die Schlafzimmer sind rustikal eingerichtet, der Küchen- und Essbereich ist etwas dunkel, die Wohnecke im Obergeschoss ist sehr schön hell.

The location is perfect - open expansive countryside views on one side of the house, and nestled into a small town on the other, so you really do get the best of both worlds: quiet, private and peaceful on the open side of the house, and a few minutes walk to the amenities of the village on the other side - which was one of the reasons we chose this place. The house itself is really nice - as others have said - and was perfect for our needs. We didn't actually make use of the lounge once during our stay because the habit just became sitting out on the terraced areas or round the pool for dinner / drinks in the evening. The kids loved the pool whose orientation is great - not an infinity pool but the way it's built almost feels like it - you can reach out and touch the lemon trees as you swim up and down. Bliss! Location on the island was also ideal - easily accessible to all the places we wanted to visit - no trips for us more than 45 minutes drive - but in a peaceful town in the foothills of the mountains and a taste of Mallorcan life - not many tourists like us around the town, it seemed, compared to the intensive coastal areas a short drive away. Inca very close with all the larger shops you could want. Blessed with unseasonally hot weather so really made the most of the outdoor living the house offers. Amazing Family Holiday

We had a great stay at Es Molinet in Selva; we were greeted by the owners on arrival who provided us with sufficient information such that our stay was enjoyable. The owners took their leave fairly quickly after showing us round and checked on our stay through text / 1 visit during our stay, which was ideal. The villa was very clean with everything working as it should - the electronic gates and external lighting providing an additional sense of security while being a little out of the way, but still attached to the main village. Air con and internet access was available while the villa still maintained its traditional style, highlights for us all were the pool, table tennis and grounds containing lemon, lime, fig, almond, pear, pomegranate trees. Wildlife aplenty with hoopoes and kites along with more traditional residents. We had a car for the duration of our stay which was to suit us - it may not be a requirement for everyone, as most nights were spent in Selva which has a couple of good eateries and quiet places for a drink before returning to relax by the pool for a night cap & take in the last of the ambience. There is a supermarket, bike hire and pharmacy within a couple of minutes walk. It's worth taking a shortcut (as the crow flies) to the church at the top of the village and taking in some of the beautiful streets and residencies. We were a family of 5 and the house suited us perfectly - really the pictures on the site do not do the house,pool or the views justice - it is superb. Ample seating outside for relaxing or dining while making great use of the views - we' would highly recommend this villa if you are looking for a spot relaxation.
