Se7en On Sevenhill - "The Sunset Cabin"

Tucked away just two kilometres off the Horrocks Highway in Sevenhill, this working vineyard accommodation, Se7en On Sevenhill, is a breath of fresh Clare Valley air with its lovely view of the vineyard and countryside.

Se7en On Sevenhill is located within a five-kilometre radius of over ten renowned Clare Valley wineries, it is the ideal spot to stay whilst you explore this classic rural region of colonial South Australia, the Clare Valley.

The space
Set on forty acres and with twenty acres of vines, the property is a lovely, quiet spot to refresh and unwind. Se7en On Sevenhill is designed as a couples retreat and offers two cosy log cabins perched side by side five hundred metres up the driveway off 60 Saw Mill Road, Sevenhill. Cute and quaint, the log cabin accommodation is quiet and in a romantic setting.

Each cabin is equipped with Queen size beds, a bathroom, lounge area and a kitchenette. Both the Sunrise and Sunset cabins enjoy spectacular views, as well as air conditioning in the summer and pot belly fires in the winter, (firewood is available for purchase). A complimentary bottle of Clare Valley wine and delicious chocolates are provided upon arrival, with a variety of teas, and coffee.

In the mornings, you will wake to the sounds of the abundant birdlife and the odd kangaroo and wild deer. It is a bird watchers paradise. The night skies resemble a planetarium when the skies are clear of cloud cover. Astronomy lovers have stayed to view the spectacular vision of stars from the cabins high up on the hill!

Guests are welcome to stroll around the property via the pathways and take photos of their experience, as it’s a unique opportunity to have access to a working vineyard and to enjoy the feeling of having the tranquil property to yourself! The owner’s animal family also live on the vineyard, and you may see two very cute ponies, some pet sheep and a very active working dog who will love to play fetch with you!

Whether it is a barbeque with magnificent views from the cabin or a picnic down by the dam, it’s an ideal setting for romance, and to enjoy a platter and a few wines to finish off your day of touring the region. There is a fire pit and guests are encouraged to fire it up.

Se7en On Sevenhill – “How’s the serentity!”

Guest access
Guests have access to the entire cabin and are welcome to walk around the property using the paths.

Other things to note
Be prepared to have a fantastic unique working vineyard experience although you may experience some dust especially in drier months. Even with regular pest control we have millepedes who come and visit the cabins especially during harvest and after the rain! As with all country living there may be the occasional creepy crawler visitors but we supply bug spray and a dust buster.

Please note that we are not able to accept bookings with infants and children under 12 years of age due to safety issues. Only registered guests may access the property.

Cosy cabin with spectacular hilltop views
This is a well appointed cabin with spectacular views and a perfect place for exploring the Clare Valley. It was wet and cloudy on our winter stay but Peter and Julie had the fire going to welcome us. The animals on their property are friendly and fun. We would stay again. Highly recommended.

Delightful Getaway
A very inviting and comfortable log cabin perched on a hill overlooking vineyards...it doesn't get much better! We enjoyed the slow combustion heater, the coffee & treats, the very convenient location near wineries & the new Clare Valley Wine & Wilderness Trails. We highly recommend this property & look forward to returning in the future.

Lovely cabin, one of two located on a hill amongst vineyards. A great view to the valley and dam below and I think beyond the valley as well however as it was raining most times that we were in the cabin, I couldn't tell. everything was provided, including a milk in the fridge, ground coffee, and a bottle of their own wine. A couple of ponies in the paddocks, okay to talk to but a little shy. The millipedes can be a nuisance but we were made away of this beforehand and comes with staying is a rural location like this.
