Quiet Retreat
We enjoyed a quiet, comfortable retreat. Morning coffee on the front porch rockers. The furnishings include interesting vintage farmhouse pieces. The kitchen worked well for us. We enjoyed game nights at the kitchen table. The caretakers are on the same street and the owner is very responsive.

Wonderful place to stay
When walking into the Farmhouse it is really clean, fresh, and very cute. Was not afraid to let our 8 month old crawl around on the floor. This is the second time we have stayed here and will definitely be renting again. Easy to book, owners are easy to communicate with. It’s a nice quiet place to stay away from the noise of Gatlinburg . Highly recommend.

Homey and peaceful
Property was cute and homey, everything as described. It’s a little out of the way if you plan on several outings, about 30 minutes to most of the popular places. There is a steep incline and descent for the road leading to the property, but wasn’t an issue for a minivan during spring. It would be hard during winter. Overall, a nice peaceful place to stay.

Perfect calm family spot close to activities
We had a great time, house was as described, kids loved the space to run around, the fire pit, the porch swing, the tire swing, the indoor game table, playing in the stream, the big tub, and seeing the animals. The ramp was great for my child in a wheelchair. We carried him up the steps for bed at night but could have used a pull out downstairs. The shower chair was helpful for non ambulatory child. The fireplaces were really nice. Owners were very responsive with questions. We had an amazing time :-).

Loved it! Kids missed Wi-Fi
It was so nice and quiet. The beds were very comfortable and everything was so clean. It was nice to just relax and decompress. There is no internet or cell phone service which I was okay with but the teenagers could’ve died! 😜 It was okay though. They enjoyed it and we were all able to relax and they did like visiting the donkeys. I know some people complain about the narrow roads but I didn’t have any issues. I’m hoping to visit again soon. So much better than a hotel.

It was the perfect get away for us with our hectic lives. No cell service which enables us to rest. There is a landline for emergency calls. The donkeys and miniature horses were so sweet. We had all the amenities we needed.

Our stay at the Farm House was amazing it was so clean Quiet and no internet was great for me . My Granddaughter is 18 and loved the Donkeys and the Horses. It was perfect we set at the fireplace and just had an amazing time I will give it a 10 loved it.

Great vacation
Your property is next to my best friend Loryn and Christian. It was very convenient for us! It was very warm and cozy, and when we arrived, it was nice having the lights on since we got in after dark. I apologize for the late departure. They stopped by in the morning to say good bye which slowed us down a little. We could have been little more packed the night before so it was a lesson learned. It was a great experience overall! The only constructive criticism I’d have is the back bedroom with two double beds were very hard and springy.

Amazing Farmhouse
The Farmhouse was perfect! Beautiful home in a great location. The drive was simple and house easy to find. The donkeys, Donkee and Poncho, enjoy being fed apples and carrots. They would come to the back of the farmhouse. On the days they didn’t meet us at the back, we just walked the short distance down the road to the barn. We loved the Farmhouse and will check for availability on our next visit to Pigeon Forge.

Farmhouse Review
The Farmhouse is a nice break from our busy lives. We enjoyed the donkeys and horses. We had a great week. I do want to mention some of the things that need attention. The mattress and box springs are in need of replacement. The beds squeak really loudly and are not so comfortable. The stove is past due it’s lifespan. You could only get the burners working one at a time and the oven was problematic. Two of the bedrooms have limited lighting (lamps only). The fans each need a light kit like the ones in the master suite. The well water smells of sulfur and a water conditioner would work wonders. My sister has well water and suggested a water softener that will neutralize the bad smell. Thank you for opening your home to us but thought you may not be aware of some of these issues.

Thank you for your review. Your post had me concerned as no one else has complained about anything, so I called the current guest staying at the house. She said the bed was comfortable and had no problem with it. As for the stove, she said she used the stove and burners to cook last night and all worked just fine. I totally agree if the stove is not working it needs to be replaced, but apparently that's not an issue as of today. For the lights, I specifically CHOSE not to put a light kit on the newly installed paddle fans in the bedrooms. I don't use light kits in my own home and did not put them on the paddle fans, I guess its a personal choice. The well has 2 filters on it. One for iron and one for sulfur. The drought last year caused a lot of problems with everyone's well water. I have paid over $10,000 THIS year for additional filters and we are still in the process of getting out of the sever drought we had last year. However, the lady today said she did not smell anything from the water when she took her shower and has no issue with the water. It may be a "hit and miss" according to the water level in the well, also drought issues. IF you had problems, our phone number is there for you to call and we live on the property to care for the animals, you could have called and we could have resolved any problems you may have had immediately. Sorry, you did not do that. Meanwhile, I called our house keeper to see if you had left a note or comment in the guest book, she said you did not and then stated that the house was left in a complete disarray, you failed to follow house rules by NOT removing the sheets from the beds and placing them in laundry room. You booked for 3 people, but all 3 bedrooms were used and used sanitary napkins were placed in a bedroom trash can unwrapped. She said it took her longer to clean the house because things were moved and placed elsewhere and the floor was a terrible mess. She questioned if only 3 people stayed there or more, due to the "nastiness" of the house. I wish you luck in the future in other cabins in our Great Smoky Mountains.

ABSOLUTE HEAVEN!!!
I cannot say enough wonderful things about this property. This farmhouse was STUNNING, like something you would see in a movie. I don't know how the owners keep it so clean, but this home is SPOTLESS and immaculate. Pam, the owner, was a pleasure to work with and very accomodating. I stayed here with my fiance, my 3 grown boys, my oldest boy's fiance, and our kitty, Luna. The home had ALL the amenities you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. The location of this beautiful home is perfect as there is an entrance to the Smoky Mountains (Cades Cove) right up the street! During our drive through the Smokies, we saw LOTS of bears and baby cubs! What a treat! We also frequented the local General Store, coffee shop, and Hillbilly's Restaurant. Smoky Mountain Pizza is also excellent! I would also recommend a visit to the Titanic Museum, which is in Pigeon Forge and the second largest of its kind in the USA! Right next to the museum is the Apple Barn Cider Mill which is also a treat to visit and grab something to eat! The views from this home are spectacular and the ponies that visited us everyday were such a treat! All in all, our visit to the Farm House was AMAZING! Pam was an incredible hostess. And we would love to come back here in the future. Do not hesitate...book this home NOW. You will love it and never want to leave!!!

This place is a little slice of heaven. Big and comfortable enough to not need to go anywhere else on your trip, close enough to everything else you would want to do. We loved spending time with the miniature donkeys and horses, sitting on the front and back porches relaxing and watching nature, playing around in the yard, and escaping from the demands of cell phones and internet. It's very private and quiet. Everything is close - we went to Tuckaleechee Caverns, Elvira's (delicious!), Gatlinburg/Anakeesta (Pigeon Forge is just as close), and the Smokey Mountains, including Laurel Falls, The Sink, and Cade's Cove (this is the place to go horseback riding!). Communication with the owner was great, and we had a great time talking with the property managers while visiting with the animals. They were very helpful with any questions about the local area and where to go. Highly recommend. It was everything we wanted it to be.

We had a quick little girls trip to Gatlinburg. Everything in the house was great . We enjoyed seeing donkey and poncho. They got us for some carrots. LOL. Only issue is.. you need to give the whip-poor-will an alarm clock and tell him not to go off till after 8:00 am. He was up and singing @ 5:30 am. No sleeping in for me. LOL

Perfect Country Beauty Escape
Can not say enough great things about this property and the host. Prior to our family’s trip, Pam was wonderful in providing information about the area, restaurants, traffic detours and grocery stores. She responded to additional questions within half an hour. The house was very clean, the kitchen was stocked with ALL utensils and necessities needed. The beds were comfortable and rooms were large. The decor was lovely, warm, and welcoming. The outdoor area was very nice and inviting with a large deck, wrap around front porch with rocking chairs and swing and wonderful yard area all beautifully landscaped. We had dinners on the deck and soaked in the wonderful weather. This is relaxation at its fullest. Additional activities are just down the road (fishing, pool, jeep rentals, local shops and crafts). Please keep in mind no cell, no Wi-Fi, no internet on site!!! But we knew that and loved it!!! There is satellite TV, games, movies, and nature to enjoy. Would definitely recommend this wonderful place for anyone’s next adventure.

Great relaxing farm house
It was a great place to stay. The house is close to Dollywood, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Cade Cove, and The National Park. There was plenty of wildlife in the yard in mornings and evenings including bunnies, woodchucks, and bunnies. The donkeys, ponies, and cat were all very friendly. The house has everything needed for cooking with including a cast iron skillet. The restaurant/shopping suggestions were excellent. The Apple Farm restaurant they suggested was the best food and portions were enough for two meals. There is no cell phone service or internet even with a hot spot, but it was nice to get away from all the texts and phone calls. There are movies, books, and a few games at house for a rainy day but you may want to bring more games if you need to stay in. Our first night there after the long car ride we just stayed in playing a few games we brought (The Crew, and One Night a Werewolf) and we had a great time there at the house away from our phones.

Amazing and perfect
The farmhouse is just perfect, it is extremely comfortable, beautiful, perfect location since we spend all of our time in the park and cades cove. Short drive to pigeon forge or Gatlinburg for trips to the busy areas. There is nothing that I would change, other then I wish I would have found this years ago, we stay in wears valley area at least one a year, and we have had sone very good rentals but nothing as perfect as the farmhouse!

Wonderful quiet place to stay
This was a great place to stay that was very quiet. It was easy to get to and the drive there is beautiful. There is cell signsl less than 1/2 a mile away so it was easy to call folks if I needed to but there was comfort in being away from my digital leash. I would stay here again.

Couldn’t Ask For More
Wonderful and peacefully quiet location, but close to anything else you want to do. Even if you don’t want to go anywhere there is so much entertainment.. open land for kids to play, a creek to splash in, donkeys to visit and feed, a fire pit, small wildlife that passes through the yard, etc. The home is cozy and comfortable but the best part is the welcome feeling from the homeowners. A nice welcome gift with a welcome note; fantastic communication; and Pamela even contacted me that she found an outfit from our little granddaughter that we left behind. Arrangements to mail them to us were made and I couldn’t ask for more! A definite place we would love to come back to on our next trip to Tennessee!

Beautiful farmhouse and property
This place was more than amazing! The property was very relaxing with streams running through it, rescued donkeys and mini horses to visit every day. The farmhouse was well supplied with anything you could possibly need. And very clean. Very warm and cozy home. Super cutely decorated house. There was absolutely no internet but we knew that. The owner was very helpful at keeping us up to date. We highly recommend this house! We will be returning.! We thank the owners for opening their farmhouse for us to enjoy. We hated to leave.

Relaxing and Peaceful
This property was such a pleasure to stay at. From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed by the little touches the owner had left for us such as some treats and Christmas cards as we visited at the holidays. The front porch is perfect for sitting and relaxing. My kids loved the donkeys and couldn't wait to see them each day. We had everything we needed besides groceries and toiletries as expected. All in all a wonderful stay!

Comfortable Stay. Enjoyed the Farmhouse
This is a very nice older Farmhouse with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. It's off the beaten path and there is no wifi or cell service which was fine for us. There is Dish TV if you like TV. The home has pretty much all you need and then some. It was very clean and was decorated for Christmas. I would recommend and I would stay again if I needed something in that area. My only suggestions would be to get ALL new towels. They are extremely worn and old. It would also be very helpful to have a suitcase rack in the rooms. There was nowhere to put your suitcase except on the floor in the bedrooms. Overall great stay. Thank you for the personalized card. That was very sweet. Thank you.

Our group of five ladies have a little getaway every year for our November birthdays. We enjoyed the quiet peaceful setting and the sweet animals. The house was clean and comfortable. The booking and check in process was easy. Be prepared for NO cellphone service and no Wi-Fi. We enjoyed the down time here and will come again.

We loved our stay at the Farmhouse. It was close to the park entrance and Pigeon Forge but away from the hustle and bustle. We loved looking out the window and seeing the animals in the morning! We will definitely be looking to return in the future.

Wonderful, very comfortable. Owner is wonderful. The animals were a bonus. When it states no cell service it is true but we were ok with it. The only thing is not being able to call long distance from house phone to keep in touch with family that could not come. But a busy and relaxing stay.

Quite rural location. Very comfortable beds and a cosy house altogether. Only stayed a couple of nights as we was going to Dollywood which is only a 25 minute drive away. Loved going to see the horses and Donkeys in the morning.

Loved every minute!
Our family really enjoyed our stay at the farm house and wished we could have stayed longer!! The house is beautiful- pics don’t even do it justice, it’s gorgeous. It’s very clean, the beds are super comfy and it’s well stocked with everything you could need. I loved having coffee on the porch in the mornings and watching the hummingbirds- there are so many! Our 3 boys loved Donkee & Poncho so much… we fed them apples and carrots every day and the boys were actually sad to leave them when it was time to go home. The boys had so much fun playing foosball, and outside on the tire swing too, and making burgers, hot dogs and s’mores over the fire pit. We brought our dog, Ivy, and she was happy here too… the house is large and cozy at the same time. Just perfect. We all enjoyed being so unplugged even more than we expected to… it was so nice to just be together. The location is great because it’s close to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge area but also far enough away that you can really relax. We hiked in the Smokies, drove the Cades Cove loop twice, did a mountain coaster and went to Anakeesta, and lots of shopping… but always looked forward to being back at the farm house. We made great memories here and definitely plan to return!!!

Wonderful home with checkin issue RESOLVED
Lovely home near Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. When we arrived, the home was occupied. I called Pam and she said she had me down as arriving a day later than my VRBO reservation. She paid for us to stay in a hotel of my choosing, refunded me for the 1st night's stay at the farm house, and left me a nice card with an apology on the table. Pam did say that she sends confirmation emails to confirm each stay, but I didn't see it before arriving. The home is stocked with MUCH MORE than is needed for a comfortable stay, including rain boots of many sizes. The house is VERY clean, spacious, and I love the farmhouse decor. We REALLY ENJOYED feeding and hanging with Donkey and Poncho! The front porch has tons of humming birds feeding from the trees and her feeders. It's a cozy house for 2, but spacious enough for a large family. We ended up being 3 adults, 1 teen, and 1 child. THANKS PAM!!!!!

We enjoyed the solitude and even better 'no cell phone service'.. Really nice hosts. The farm house setting was really good. We enjoyed sitting on front porch in evening and just listening to sounds of quiet. The animals were a real plus especially Donkee and Pancho!. If you have knee, hip, or back problems might want to think about the stairs. Overall really good time

Family Vacay 2022
Veey nice, roomy house off the beaten path but clise enough to get to attractions. Our family really enjoyed the donkeys everyday. We even saw a black bear come across the yard as well as turkeys. Well worth the money. Only downside was NO cell/internet service. We had a great time even without it😁❤
