“If you’re headed to Seward this is the absolute best place to stay. I am absolutely in love with this quiet remote place. It is nicely tucked away in the middle of the woods. The owner Gary is usually in the office when you enter. He is warm, informative and extremely pleasant to deal with. He had two assistants that were equally as pleasant and helpful. The cabins were well stocked with everything we could have possibly needed. The place was safe, well kept and just a dream get away for anyone……

“The unit was one of a variety of cabins on the property. The layout of the cabin was a bit of a surprise as the listing on Expedia didn’t specifically identify the photos for each cabin. What we missed was a chair or two to sit on other than on the bed, but once seeing the size of the unit, it would be difficult to find room for that. The unit was clean, the bed was comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. We prepared a meal there. The deck has a lovely forest view which we enjoyed.……

“This property, managed by Seward Hospitality Group, was advertised on VRBO as a “suite” that sleeps four. We booked it because we liked the sound of a place near downtown Seward. What we found when we arrived was that this “suite” was VERY sparse. Although corrected quickly, we found no towels in the room initially and no TP, and even though there were bowls and a couple of plates, we found no cups to use with the coffee maker and no utensils to use. When I asked, SHG told me utensils were not……

“This was a perfect place for our family of four. Perfect location, away from the bustle of town. Such a gracious host and so responsive to our requests. Every amenity you have at home was here. “We enjoyed our 5 year anniversary at the Wolf Lodge after honeymooning at the Fox Den in 2019. My husband and I cannot say enough great things about the cabins. It’s all the peace and quiet we need. You meet people from around the world and there’s opportunity for outdoor activities. Want to stay in? Download some movies BEFORE you go. Sometimes you get a rainy day. “Doug’s place was perfect!! Great location, super clean, and Doug was wonderful. We left our 84 year old mom so we could do an all day excursion. Doug not only let me put him down as an in case of emergency person BUT he also came by to check on her and visit with her while we were gone. Talk about above and beyond. Mom loved the visit. You can’t go wrong booking with Doug. ”

“Cindy’s place is so charming. She and her daughter who have renovated this property must be artists. You can tell it has been a labor of love. They have been thoughtful about their place and added lovely and functional touches all over the home. It was absolutely perfect for my bestie two-person getaway. Two twin beds, but very comfy and gave us each our own space. I love the history of the home, the area, and the accessibility to the beautiful town of Seward. We’ll be back!! ”
