“We booked this house for our party of 12 including adults, teenagers, and young children. Everyone enjoyed the beautiful decor, serene location, proximity to activities, and included amenities. The kids loved the arcade game and pool table while the adults were grateful for the well stocked kitchen. When several problems popped up (electrical upstairs and missing bedding for the rollaway bed,) the call center arranged for a quick response. Deer were spotted around the cabin and the fire pits……

“This was our first Vrbo experience. We stayed 8 nights. The location off of I-81 was perfect. Check in was super easy. The code to the door arrived two days before our trip. I gave 5 stars to communication with the host, but I gave 5 stars because I didn't have a need to communicate with him. Some minor repairs are needed, but other guests mentioned them so I did not feel I had to communicate them as well. I actually prefer the no contact check in because my dog does not care for……

“First I’ll address the driveway.It’s steep, just as described in the description as well as comments. Our 4WD vehicle went up just fine but our other vehicle did not. It stayed safely parked at the bottom of the driveway. Some could consider that an inconvenience however definitely not a ruined vacation, especially considering all this beautiful property has to offer. This cabin is fully stocked! “The surrounding area to the property is gorgeous and has great potential for a nice place to get away; however, the lack of information prior to arriving was a bit of a let down. Firstly, there was no indication before arriving that the place we would be staying at was currently in the process of being remodeled. Loose insulation, cracks in the ceiling, and tiny pieces of stone/tile on the shower floor were just some of the things noticed. Secondly, please do not advertise a space as pet……

We enjoyed sitting on the porch soaking in the beautiful mountains and Lake Watauga. Our dog enjoyed swimming and had easy access to enter the lake. It was a perfect getaway for us. ”
