It was awful

It was awful. .. can never be worse. They didn't let me check in because they have a problem with expedia payment even of I was holding my confirmation. I had to cancel my holiday because of that . Suff was very rude and irresponsible .

Good value but next time we will spend a bit more.

All the staff at the Luna Sharm are excellent. Our room was large and clean, we did have a problem with the shower but we changed rooms without any fuss. Our visit was Feb/Mar 2015 the weather was better than we expected being warm/hot. The pool is not heated and was cold. When we arrived the water was Blue but when we left it was Green because it had not been treated. We watched the pool guy - when a towel was returned if it was dry he folded it and put it in his basket to be reissued, if it was wet, we guess it was washed or just dried. The air con in both rooms we had was not working or turned off. The food was o.k. but much the same everyday with little choice. The bar was open from 10am-10pm so an early night unless you went out (there is a free shuttle 8.30pm out 11pm back also to the beach a few times a day)a taxi is cheap (haggle)and are passing all the time. The beer is out of a bottle ( which is good) the spirits say 37% on the bottle but are weak and although most people drink a lot we didn't see anybody obviously drunk. Would we stay here again, we may have thought about it apart from one thing - FLYS - they are everywhere in the restaurant on the terrace and all over you when you lie in the sun. When we went out to eat or to the beach we didn't see a fly. We don't know why they like this hotel so much or if they are here year round but we wouldn't chance it again - they drive you mad.

Opholdet var rigtig godt og medarbejderne på hotellet var venlige. Maden var dog virkelig dårlig og meget arabisk, hvilket medførte at vi levede af hvidkål, boller og kylling (indtil de løb tør)...

First and last visit to Luna Sharm Hotel

booked 6 nights (24/01/2015) based on positive reviews,my mistake was not taking negative reviews seriously and considered them as individual experiences.after 7 hours driving from Cairo-Sharm we had worst two rooms I ever seen!Dirty sheets,pillow covers and bathroom.I requested to replace them in order to at least be able to sleep till morning,the room service guy-Ramadan-complained and told us"I didn't study Hotels & tourism to do so".I told receptionist that I need to make official complaint he replied "OK I will deliver the message to the management"which didn't happen.Next day we were given another rooms (147 & 145)which were a little better but same uncleanliness.I requested to see pillow sheets that just came out of laundry,it was no better !So there's no use of more complains.Food was less than good,no variety,very few dishes were tasty,generally you don’t feel comfortable with food.Best thing in restaurant :a guy putting white glasses named "Mohamed"who was smiley all the time.I noticed that the general manager is following up comments so i hope you take bold decisions regarding the Hotel's cleanliness conditions.My complain was never the view, the bad food that we paid for or even the lazy receptionists but a clean bed to sleep in and a clean bathroom to use!Is it that difficult? some positives: pool is nice, another room service guy (day shift) was active and very polite (can't recall his name), parking guys were always there for you even at dawn.

Sharm El Sheikh

Das Hotel hatte keine Zimmerbuchung von mir. Da ich die E-Mail Bestätigung dabei hatte war es dann kein Problem das Zimmer zu bekommen. Allerdings mussten wir mit dem ältesten Zimmer abfinden, das oberhalb der Poolbar war und in dem ein lautes Geräusch von einer Klimaanlage oder Abluftgebläse zu hören war. Die Fenster bestanden nur aus drehbaren Scheiben mit 5mm Spalt. Der Schlaf war hier natürlich sehr kurz. Das Pool und die Gartenanlage war schön und sauber. Das Frühstück und Abendessen war in Ordnung.

Super godt til prisen!

Vi fik det SUPER billigt og det taget i betragtning var det hele rigtig fint. Godt personale, fin pool og gå afstand fra Old Market mm. Maden var ikke fantastisk (MEGET ensartet men fint spiselig) men hvad man kan forvente til den lave pris. Vi elskede Sharm, så en masse skønne steder og nød det gode vejr!

On en a pour notre argent

Assez excentré, c'est agréable pour des personnes qui cherchent le calme. Il y a quelques commerces autour mais mieux vaut prendre la demi pension, car pour manger aux alentours c'est compliqué. La nourriture est correcte et variée. La piscine est moins grande qu'elle n'y parait sur la photo. Les chambres sont assez spacieuses, mais il ne faut pas s'attarder sur les finitions. Par contre il n'y a que .3 chaines de TV, une en russe, une en anglais et une en arabe. Prévoir des anti moustiques. L'hôtel propose des excursions intéressantes (quad, plongée, ballade). Pour une semaine à charm c'est assez agréable, surtout vu le prix de l'hôtel.

Bra läge. Hotelltaxi som körde oss till rätt priser överallt och hjälpte oss in på badstränder till rätt priser. Dålig mat på hotellet. Inte värt att ta all-inclusive för det var inte all-inclusive. Tex inte all alkohol utan bara de inhemska sorterna. Annars fantastiskt prisvärt och härlig hjälpsam personal som pratade bra engelska. Spa, tatuerare och frisör till billiga priser på hotellet.

Ruhiges Hotel mit geräumigen Zimmern

Die Zimmer sind groß dimensioniert und haben alle Terasse oder Balkon. Es gibt einen großen Pool (nicht beheizt) sowie einen kleinen für Kinder. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist reichhaltig. Anreise ist auch spätabends problemlos möglich. Das Hotel liegt etwas außerhalb des Stadtzentrums an einer Hauptstraße, da die Zimmer jedoch alle zum Innenhof gehen, ist es ruhig. Ich habe das Hotel nur eine Nacht kennengelernt, war zufrieden, sehr gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis und späte Abreise (12 Uhr) möglich.

Hotêl Luna Sharm : Agréable mais loin de la plage

L'hotêl est moyen, la piscine reste correcte, mais il est loin de la plage. Une navette est prévue pour conduire les clients à la plage, il s'agit d'un minibus toutes les 30 minutes et le dernier retourne à l'hôtel à 17H. On est donc obligé de se soumettre à ces conditions. Le personnel est accueillant et dispose d'un ensemble d'informations utiles.

If you just need somewhere to stay

Went to Luna Sharm and had the half-board package. The hotel staff are friendly however VERY uninformed about things to do and see in the area. The food they serve is mediocre at best and is primarily American style as opposed to anything Egyptian. Our room was comfortable. This is somewhere that is good if you just need a roof over your head and you plan your own excursions. The beach associated with the hotel is unfortunately not one of the more visually pleasing beaches of Sharm, but is a small segment of the bay nearby. Also, there were not many other Westerners going to their beach, so walking around in a bikini became uncomfortable to the point that we paid to go to a different one. Luna Sharm served a purpose for us, but I don't think that based on our experience that we would go back again.

Awesome hotel for not very much

It was an awesome hotel for the price we paid. It's not an extremely fancy place, but it's a comfy place to come back to at night after you've been out and about Sharm. If you're there to enjoy the beach and all the activities Sharm has to offer and plan on spending a lot of time outside your hotel, this place is perfect.

Luna sharm: Bien pour le prix

Hôtel agréable de taille moyenne. Les chambres sont correctes si on ne regarde pas trop les détails, avec une literie un peu dure. Elles donnent sur la piscine et des jardins bien entretenus et fleuris. Coté restauration, les buffets ne sont pas très variés et pas très gastronomiques. Le personnel est plutôt accueillant; allez voir Joseph à la boutique de l’hôtel très sympa et qui vous fera de meilleurs prix qu'à "Old Market". Enfin pour les plongeurs, vous trouverez juste à coté un centre de plongée "Afican Divers" très sympa et compétent.

Luna Sharm hotel er lidt slid men ok, hvis man ikke forventer den store luksus. Hotellet har et dejligt pool område, og der er god service også ved poolen. Personalet, er på alle områder, meget venlige og hjælpsomme. Dejlig mad, men grønsagerne kunne godt være lidt mere friske og der kunne godt være lidt mere forskelligt frisk frugt. Alt i alt et godt hotel.
