"We stayed in a train car this time and it was so unique! Hotel was spotless clean, staff was nice and so fun, great with the kids, restaurant was delicious. This hotel has SO much cool train and rail history, it's really a hidden gem! Only downsides: the Illinois ballroom and old station wasn't open because there weren't any events going on down there. Wish we could have seen that area again. #2: be prepared if you stay in the blue train that a REAL train may come through in the middle of the night and scare you to death! Haha We didn't realize we were on the side closest to the active tracks. It was just once overnight and the kids slept right through it, but I guess it added to authentic railroad experience. 😂"

"Hotel and all of its employees were extremely helpful, kind, and courteous to us , our kids, and our dog. They have multitudes or activities around for family or just for couples. The rooms were clean, bathroom and showers were amazing. And rooms were essentially sound proof which is important to us traveling with kids and a dog."
