“We had such a wonderful stay at this cozy cabin in the woods! The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend with friends. The view was absolutely stunning. we loved sitting on the deck in the morning with coffee, just taking it all in. The atmosphere was peaceful and private, yet close enough to everything we needed. Communication with the host was easy and friendly, and they were so accommodating. We’re already talking about coming back……

“This place offered the perfect getaway from the city, and I loved having the kayaks available for use! The house was clean and comfortable, and had everything I needed to cook. The outdoor area down by the river was peaceful despite the nearby highway, and when the water level is low earlier in the day you can walk the kayaks down to the water. Note that the current gets much stronger in late afternoon and water level rises, so don’t get stuck paddling home upstream. Learned that the hard way!”

“What a beautiful home and setting! A spacious 4 bedroom home sitting above the beautiful Chippewa river! Comfortable beds, a well equiped kitchen and a very nice outdoor space that included a fire ring! Angie was a wonderful host and maintained contact from the moment I booked with her! We visited wineries, parks, a mansion, waterfalls and other sites within a short drive of the house! I would highly recommend the Codax Retreat for a very nice get-a-way!”

“I booked this for my wedding party this passed weekend and we loved it! The property was very clean. We had no issues getting in and plenty of room for all of us. Jerry even let my hair stylist come in Saturday morning to do all of our hair and my photographer come in to take photos. We all had a wonderful time on the lake too! My wedding day was perfect. “Stayed with my parents, siblings and their families. Plenty of room and beds for everyone. Kitchen was stocked with very nice pots, pans, and food storage. Having two fridges was great! The lofted space with the bonus room with beds was awesome for the kids to have their own hangout space. Access to the water was perfect and so close the beach and park worked out so well! We would definitely book again!!”

“This is a great place. We had 3 families staying here w kids for our local "Friends and Family gathering" at the Catawba park. Downstairs has beds for those that need quiet space and there is a great deck where we saw a bunch of humming birds as well as turkeys and deer. Beds are comfortable, plenty of towels, and lots of places for people to hang out and play cards in the evening.”

“We stayed at this lovely home for three nights for a family event nearby. The house is as described and has everything you need for a quiet stay in the woods. We enjoyed our coffee on the deck in the mornings and lounging on the big comfy couch at night. We also enjoyed being right on the water but know that it is quite a few steps down to the dock.”

“We hope to make this an annual trip, our stay was truly nothing short of perfect and only left us with wishing we would have booked a longer stay. Jonathon was truly the best host! Extremely friendly, accommodating, flexible with check-in and check-out since no guests were before or after us, and very responsive!
